Fishing general question

Hi guys, yesterday I spent just under 2hrs and fished 206 filletable fish from 2 zones and got 0 perfect roe. Is it simply the rng gods frowning down on me or are they just super rare?
Its proper put me off fishing lol

The rate is about 0.05%, iirc, or 1 in 200. That’s the drop rate for gold mats in other lines at maxed extraction passives in those skill lines, at least.

Getting 0 in 200 isn’t a red flag if the drop rate is 0.05%. The more you go from here without a roe, though, the unluckier you can consider yourself. But it would take a lot more to start suspecting something is genuinely wrong.

Drop rate is 0.5% if its 1/200, found it to be a bit better back then I got master angler.
    0.05% is 1/2000.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

It's really a luck thing, sometimes you get several in a roe (Yes I spelled it that way for a reason) or you get none. I think at one time I filleted over 10k fish and only got around 21 roe.

Fickle are the Gremlins of RNG.

I've cleaned a full 200 fish and got no perfect roe. I've cleaned 23 fish and got 2.

RNG can be a harsh master/mistress.

One thing that I would like to know is if Meticulous Disassembly affects Roe drop chance. It shouldn't, but it might. And if it does, then I am not exactly opposed to that either, it should just say so in the description.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I still have stacks from my ma journey but I'd say 1 or 2 roe per 200 is about what I get. Can we please get a "filet all" option ZOS..pretty please, lol.

Perhaps they could make a CP for that, with an increased chance for perfect roe? :grimace:

Me too. I use the add-on to "Fillet all" and then go make dinner or something. If you're a PC player who fishes regularly, fishing add-ons are must-haves.
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

I remember a time I filleted somewhere between 300-400 fish and didn't get a single perfect roe.

Then a couple of weeks ago, I filleted 15 and got 2!

Just luck... or lack of, I guess.
