What gives? I used to have over 600 CP and now I get I think 216 CP.
I might come back next year after the dust settles and see if the game is worth playing but I am curious why the discrepancy.

Yes, your CP is always distributed equally between the three trees. Even in CP 1.0 people at cap of 810 could only spend 270 in each tree. I am going to wait to change anything and let the dust settle. Been there and done that before and I have no desire to fight the game to get stuff done and have to change stuff again, again, again...

1/3 of the CP showing under each constilation on the CP UI, since you have not allocated any of it - as it should
& you are not looking at the chacater screen (C) where the total is shown
