Why did I lose 10.4% critical damage? Am I the only one in this case? Before 50.3 after 44.9 on my main Critical damage. Stamina PVE

Are you running Backstabber and Fighting Finesse (both maxed and slotted) and attacking from the flank?

What are your other sources of crit damage?

Thanks for your answer but I'm not a very experienced player when it comes to technical terms and it's very complicated for me to distribute the points in an optimal way.

My Main is an Orc Templar Stamina in Deadly Strike Selene and Lokketiiz. I use Backstabber and Fighting Finesse. And thaumaturge, Wrathful Strikes and Deadly Aim. I use Backstabber, Fighting Finesse, Thaumaturge, and Wrathful Strikes

They reduces crit chance granted overall and from armor Sets.

Ok, thanks! The other thing I want to clarify is whether it's critical damage or critical chance that you're asking about. Critical damage starts at 50%, if I remember right, so there's no way you should have below that, especially with the templar Aedric Spear passive and both Backstabber and Fighting Finesse. Critical chance, on the other hand, starts at 10% and is harder to get above 50-60%, as many sources of critical chance were lowered this patch.

Critical Damage (% extra damage done when you crit):

50% - I believe this is where everyone starts
10% - Templar passive in the Aedric Spear line (requires an Aedric Spear ability to be slotted)
10% - from Minor Force (can use Barbed Trap from Fighters Guild)
    10% - Fighting Finesse
    15% - Backstabber (while flanking)
18% - Shadow mundus stone in 7 pieces of gold divines armor

The Shadow mundus and Thief mundus (which gives crit chance instead) are close right now. The Thief will likely benefit you a little more in your case by giving you additional crit chance (+9.96%, or perhaps rounded to 10%, in 7 gold divines) in place of crit damage. You can still achieve 95% crit damage easily without the Shadow, while the Thief will help raise your crit chance significantly. At your crit rating, the Thief should outperform the Shadow, theoretically.

For critical chance, on the other hand, there are several reductions that took effect this patch:

Precision (40 CP in the blue tree) gives 2.9% crit, which was reduced a hair from 3% in the old CP system
Deadly Strikes 3rd set bonus now gives 3%, which was reduced from 3.8% last patch (all set bonuses with crit were reduced, with one exception)
Daggers were reduced from 5% crit chance per dagger to 3.4% per dagger with 2/2 skill points in Twin Blade and Blunt
The precise trait should have remained steady at 3.6% for each precise trait on a one-handed weapon/7.2% for a two-handed weapon

I'm thinking that you're probably running at least one dagger, if not two, and those got their crit chances reduced (now 3.4% each instead of 5%). That, combined with the loss of 0.8% from Deadly Strikes' third bonus and 0.1% from the blue CP tree, would account for some of the drop.

Thank you for this clear clarification.

I think this loss is due to the nerfing of the daggers and the Deadly Strikes set. This corresponds to the loss of damage percentage.

    :)
