    Happy grinding fellows :D

Unless someone with 3601 CP steps forward and proves that there is CP gain after 3600, then no, the cap IS 3600. Just because you need 4765 CP to unlock everything doesn't mean that you can get 4765 CP.
Which is precisely the case afaik, you can't unlock everything simultaneously, even with max CP.

Well then I could say the same for 3600 CP. Since after around ~2000 CP nothing actually changes because slots are limited.

So why would 3600 be the cap? What is special about 3600? It just a number from CP1.0. For now soft cap is 1800 in CP2.0 and the rest is unclear.

took me 4200 hours to get to cp 1200. that was 515M experience. well... plus 10 chars to 50.

    3600 now is 2B Xp I believe.

So a good 16000 hours in my case.

That's 667 days of nonstop playing. 2000 days of 8 hours a day. That's 5.5 years btw. 8 hours. every single day.

I'm not saying it should be the cap but it is still the cap. Either because they forgot why 3600 was the cap or they were lazy/didn't have enough time to change the hard cap. Or they considered it sufficent enough for the time being.

Honestly CP 2.0 seems to be kind of half finished. Things like only the blue tree having sub-nebulas and only for two of the three roles, or the messy green tree really gives the impression that it was sort of rushed and could have used some more brainstorming.

If it was up to me I would have divided all CP with like 5 or something, so we have a less daunting CP cap and less bloated CP numbers/perk requirements. But shrug.
People probably would have been pitchforking even harder if they did something like that, probably tbh.

My understanding is that a small number of players have already hit 3600.

The system has been out there for years, and the XP requirements to get to 3600 dropped almost every Update until they got to 810. The XP requirements dropped by almost 40% between 2015 (Update 8) and 2018 (Update 20), when they stopped increasing the max CP. With Update 29, they are almost 73% lower than they were 2015 (Update 8).

CP 3600 is much more accessible, now. Back in 2015, when the catch-up mechanism was released, it was an almost unimaginable 8 billion XP to get there. By the time that CP 810 rolled up, new players only needed 5 billion, which was still unimaginable, but significantly lower. Now that a player starting today only needs 2 billion to get to CP 3600, I think that it is definitely accessible to a lot more people.

Me? I am at CP 950, so I only need... well... 2 billion more XP to get there.

What would you even do with 3600cp. Everyone, regardless of cp can still only slot 4 stars per tree. And half the passives are meh.
If you're around 810 now then you're good to go for any content. Just enjoy the game

Why do you guys pop into every XP thread and say this. Don't worry about how we choose to play the game. It is a goal and it is natural to be curious about how long it might take.

"How long will this meeting be?" Don't worry about it, enjoy the meeting.
"How long will it take to get to the airport?" Don't worry about it, enjoy the ride (or walk).

Just asking how long it'll take is fine.
But these thread never "just ask". They complain, outright or low-key with "happy grinding" and the like.
Because there's the explicit or unspoken assumption that you "have to" grind these CP.

"How long do you reckon it'll take you?"
"At the current rate, maybe 5 years."
"That's nice. Have fun, you'll get shiny stuff for 5 years to come."
For some reason, this conversation almost never goes into that direction.

Some people see the 3600 as a target that they have to reach. That target is billions of light years away. Or, so it seems. They groan and plot their course at warp 9, zooming in pursuit of their destination. Figuratively speaking.

The good news is that the CP 3600 goal is a lot closer now than it used to be. Every so often, a "wormhole" comes along that shaves millions of light years off the trip.

Yes. I did just compare the trip to CP 3600 to Star Trek Voyager.

Question is what is the highest cp obtained?

Is there anyone who have reached over 3000cp?

    Just asking?

Yes, 3600CP players exist. Just extremely rare at the moment. I bet we'll see more of them in about a year.

It must be so rare that I have not seen one in my entire life in tamriel.

Though I have seen a level 5000 in the wasteland of the appalachia.

    Just saying.

There are 2x 3600 and 1x 32xx and a lot of 25xx in the trading guild I m in. Couldn´t believe it at the beginning. But yes they exist

forgot to ask my question: do someone know if skyreach grind still the best duo grind? (without bothering others around)

    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/473224/max-cp-3600-reached-today-05-09-19/p1

This was last year, one player on PC EU.

Let's be perfectly clear, there is no sane reason for grinding to 3600 beyond being a completionist. Any competitive advantage you gain disappeared a long long long time ago at that point.

But if you wish to do so then go right ahead. Just understand at some point grinding XP for CP will become far more of a job than a passive enjoyment.

I've been playing since 2015 and I've got about 360 CP. I don't think I'm ever going to reach 3,600.

But that's fine with me, I stopped caring about them when I reach 160 and could make a permanent set of equipment for each of my level 50s instead of having to keep upgrading it.

    I can't believe I have to grind XP again after 5 years ... :/
I am 1500ish CP at this moment ...

getting to 1620 is essentually getting to 810 now. after that levels balance back out to regular xp needed. so...if oyu wana maximize ur pve/pvp potential, getting over 2k. it's gonna feel like getting 810 twice. or arguably longer if xp keeps increasing each level.

Not necessarily true. You calculated how many points it would take to fill every star, but that doesn't mean you can actually do it. The game could still have the old 3600 hard cap, even if you need more points to max out everything.

I say this because I've seen a few 3600's, but I've yet to see anyone higher. Has anyone seen a 3601+?

3600 is cap. After that your bar is solid and does move. You still gain xp however but it simply does not register on your gauge.

My main is 3600 and my next alt is around 2640. I really don't care if they increase it again further on down the track. Gives me just one more thing to push for. With all the achievements, patterns, motifs etc. Plenty to do

I’m seeing a player with 3600 cp trying to join my guild… he has been playing about 1 year, and has 25% of the game time I have… I’m a day 1 player with a little over 2000 CP on PS4…

Now I’ve seen only 4 or 5 3600 players on PS4… but each time I did was under the same circumstances. In a dungeon… where at the start of the dungeon each of them, unrelated to one another, have all requested to be kicked from dungeon giving the reason “sorry this isn’t the dungeon I queued for”… I find this highly suspicious btw… might be a coincidence, but I highly doubt it. And now seeing this player with so little game time invested comparatively….

Why on earth would you even want to?

After about 1200CP it's pretty much pointless / worthless to grind any more CP levels other than for convenience.

Honestly, it was before CP1600 I had every passive maxed and 12 maxed slottables in my slots. Since I don't change roles, I've got no real use for the several hundred spare CP I have. I see no power benefit to CP above about 1600, just the ability to have more flexibity. I just play and enjoy the game. I don't feel like I 'grind' anything.

While I can understand the challenge of achieving that number, I don’t think there’s any practical reason to need it for builds. Does any one actually need more than about 2000 CP for their ideal set-up?
