Has the Cp Rework helped with Performance?

Given the big part of the reason for the Cp 2.0 to work like it is has to do with every skill point put into it before. Basically stacking calculations, even for stuff that wasn't part of that star. It would do checks every time. Asking the servers is this a damage shield? So that is why it got changed and, have you noticed any impactful increases to performance at least in General or pvp?

Still waiting to see if it does, not holding my breath for any changes to performance.

it's pretty clear from the performance tests that there is no one thing that magically improves performance. I'm pretty sure the servers are dying the death of a thousand cuts where every little thing they do adds up to be a bigger problem.

It's the coding and engine. Nothing that ZOS is willing/allowed to do will help, as we've seen after the 2 years of "improvements".

I was really surprised by how PC EU performed.

Usually after a big patch our server is down for 3 days followed by 2 weeks of a laggy mess.

    But it's actually surprisingly okey.

Maybe things that are done do help but the game makes it harder with every new thing it adds.

Guild Wars 2 runs horrible now compared to what it did 8 years ago. I used to be able to run it on a laptop when it first came out. So maybe these types of games get worse and worse with every new animation/outfit/effect/npc/set/etc added.

It felt like the game was smoother somehow, I noticed several great improvements in inventory searching. Overall it feels tweaked better.

Honestly, I was fully expecting performance to be worse after the rework, and maybe it's just the placebo effect at work, but I actually think the game feels more fluid and responsive now. Of course, it might just be the fact that we just got a new patch, but characters feel much more snappy, inventory faster and easier to navigate, and skills seem to be firing off without as much delay.

When I was doing my writs and opening my writ reward crates there wasn't a long pause. Is that normal to not have the long pause. It stood out as odd to me. lol

Well I can see many people just grinding Cps. But if its working in No Cp where people may not be doing that as much. Then For sure its a good thing they changed the system. Given by what people are saying about the pve zone stuff. That means it is working at least for outside of Cyrodiil. So overall I think that they did something good with reworking the overall system. As for Pvp Cyrodiil, I can see it actually helping there as well.

Because the servers wouldn't be stressed by Cp throughout the entire game with all the calculations. However I can still see it getting laggy for players that pvp there. But hopefully not nearly as bad.

So what's going on is skills are firing, you can actually break free, players can engage each other in 20+ player battles, you can actually see what's killing you, and the only time things begin to feel sluggish is when a coordinated ball group comes in and fights another ball group. Even then..... your abilities still work! Small delay but they still will fire off.

I never play Main CP campaign because I usually have 300+ ping (I'm from Argentina. 210 ping is the best I can get in Standard).
But I'm surprised to see that my ping has come down to 240 in Main campaign and skill, though sometimes delayed, are working 90% of the time (used to be 30%). I'm glad to see this, as I wasn't expecting any performance increase.

No. It's just an excuse they use to do a major change like this hoping we will accept it, even though it changes nothing but nerfing most of the players.
Far too many characters to list any more.

There is usually cool down opening containers on live, but it’s often turned off during testing. Sometimes, they forget to turn the cool down back on after a patch, but don’t get too used to it. The last time this happened, they had the cool down turned back on within a day or two.
