Is this list of the sets that work comprehensive- and does the change include battlegrounds?

I found here https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/561180/feb-15-cyrodiil-test-details/p1/ a list of sets that would be usable in cyrodiil. I'm confused because a set like New Moon's Acolyte isn't in there but Hundings is. Is this list complete? I didn't think NMA procs?

Also, does this change apply to Battlegrounds and Imperial City, or is it Cyro exclusive?
Thanks

thanks, i found the list you are refering too and started to edit my post but you got there before me! WHy is New Moon not on the list? Does New Moon require some check?

I've been using Alessian Order in Cyro quite happily for the last couple of months but does that mean it was quite useless?

    I can't speak for ZOS....
My guess is that it does some sort of calculation.

Anything that has a percentage involved is considered a proc by ZOS coding. Also anything that requires a certain condition to be met, like using a particular damage type or weapon type. Even things that bestow major or minor buffs are considered procs — mighty chudan for example — because apparently there’s regular checks to make sure it’s still active.

How the removal of these sets didn’t have a positive effect on the lag is beyond me — less checks should improve performance. But here we are.

For everyone reading: that is the complete list! Any set you can imagine, if it's not on that list, its 5th piece bonus is disabled. Any set not on that list. And that applies only to Cyrodiil.

Read trhough all the pages in that post if you want to see reasonings and thoughts. People have come up asking about a lot of sets, including NMA.

They say it had no bearing on server performance but were happy with the playstyle change that players were seemingly enjoying but that same stance doesnt apply to smaller scale pvp environments. The same limitations applied to bgs kight have exposed or put under scrutiny are far more interesting meta shift compared to an overcrowded pvp environment.

The ability to actualy have a measurable effect on the win condition really changes player behavior and exposes those that can vs those that can not.

It's one of the reasons why I consider the no proc test to have been a waste in cyrodil simply because of the sheer volume of shenanigans that overwrite any semblance of individual skill by virtue of "large scale pvp" in general. Complaining about proc sets carrying weaker players in a 20+20 scenario where half that figure is clicking on as siege machines and not really even proving anything meaningful seems like wasted energy.

Would have been far more revealing in BGs even with considering no cp.

Could be because the problem causing lag isn't with the system that runs checks or calculations. There could be other bottle necks causing it. Also, trying to run a test by disabling something but then having way more users than normal log in also sort of contaminates the data collected. usually you want the same amount of users for the test, just with one or two things enabled or disabled, so you can do a 1 for 1 comparison. But when everyone's grandma and their ma log in, who really knows what's actually causing the lag right? Too many active sessions? Actually data traffic? Too many checks or calculations? etc.

What about monster sets ? The 2 piece sets from Dungeons. They still ok ?

a proc means that the set runs some sort of calculation in a given moment. So this includes conditional sets such as bone pirate, which requires a drink. Or fury, which requires you to tale damage. This also means all 2 piece bonuses from monster sets will be out the window, meaning your best bet is to run some sort of combo with agility/willpower or just replace your monster set with 1 domihaus 1 swarmmother.

The gear restrictions really expose the substantial class imbalances that exist, and would have been ruinous for some of us if it were applied to BGs. Magicka Necromancer would essentially become non-viable for anything but a healer role, for example.
