I've always been a solo player, and never even touched an MMO before because of it. The fact that you can play ESO solo is what finally got me to come in the first place - that and the fact that I've got massive Elder Scrolls withdrawal since TES6 isn't coming for another few years.
I finally managed to get over myself and join a nice helpful guild.
Once I ended up with a lot more time at home because of the pandemic, I started running group content with them and learned how to play my role, and I ended up having a lot more fun with everything. It was hard to break out of my shell and start being social, but it really made this a lot better of an experience than I'd ever thought it would be.
Same here! This was the first multiplayer game for me and every time i saw another player i was like "eeeep, dont come close, eeeep eeep i run away now" i enjoyed cadwells silver and gold so much, because back in the day you did not see players of the other alliances. So when i finished the ep questline and started dc or ad, i forget which came first, it was brilliant. The whole world seemed so empty, for me to explore on my own
It took me years to play any group content and after i did, i loved it! It felt silly to have been so scared of other players. Then a bit later i went to cyro and absolutely fell in love with pvp and made good friends. I actually started to talk to peeps on mic. I used to be so insecure and shy and this game has helped me so much to be more social n all and not feel uncomfortable in group play. In pvp especially it's so easy to make play mates for life

Oh and btw - the Doshia fight that got nerfed? It's still way too hard for me.... takes me a couple of deaths nearly every time.
