Redguards need direly a buff.

Looking at all Race Polls in forums and just beeing in cyrodiil or pve lands, one thing always comes to my mind: I am the only redguard in existance, who is not a roleplayer.

Why do i even have a redguard?
It is objectively the worst race in the game, high elf is a better stam race even. If i had a racechange token, i would change mine most likely away. Stam abilities dont cost much, so why would i need a cost reduction there. Sustain is not a problem in PVP and in GroupPVE even less. Why would anyone in the world use a redguard for its passives???

No special resistances (interestingly enough quite different there from Skyrim for example), no dmg buff and no other significant buff worthwhile.

When ZOS released, that they would rework some races and i saw redguard there, i was exited...until i read what they had done. My dissapointment was immeasurable and my day ruined. No change of significance there. At all. So someone looked at it and thought: "hm i cant see any problem there, it looks just fine".

So in conclusion, please, i beg you ZOS, give my redguards some love. Nothing op, just a reason to actually run them. In pvp or pve, just at this point, anywhere.

With the free 1k stam every 5 seconds from just putting down elemental blockade (magicka), 2k stam and stam reduction it's one of the better Tank races now. Silver leash ain't cheap so the cost reduction certaintly helps.

With DDs probably running parse food next patch sustain is not gonna a problem for damage dealers so yeah.. Outside of some tank and RP builds won't see too many redguards.. Arguably they'll be more usefull than Breton's next patch though.. Sustain races don't offer a lot for DDs and healers next patch...

You're going to be more useful than a Nord next patch....

Redguards dont get cost reduction to silver leash. Imperials do. Their cost reduction is to weapon abilities only which are cheap af to begin with. With Imperial’s cost reduction to war horn (block too) and nord’s ult gen, Id wager and argue that they are better tanks than redguard

Also funny thing, redguards were never tanks. They were weapon masters and scouts/skirmishers, even going as far as “unmatched in guerrilla warfare” you can see the description in the single player games.

Maybe, but in Eso terms it kind of makes sense since they start with bonuses to one hand and shield progression.

If Abner Tharn is to be believed, Sai Sahan is perhaps the greatest guerilla warrior ever.

Nord has a bonus to 2h progression yet they’re recognized as a tank race. Dunmer were always regarded as a mag race (mag dk) until murkmire when they were considered to be a stam race too yet they had a bonus to dw progression.

Should orcs be a top tank race as they have a bonus to heavy armor?

Yes anything can change like the dunmer, I think tanking can be done with any race just better with some than others. My first tank (who hasn't done any tanking yet) is a redguard though because it made sense to me when creating the character that she would start with the shield. I could have easily gone orc as you say for the heavy armor.

Tbh it feels like zos has bosmered the redguard, and even so, there are still races that beat it out in tanking overall.

Not really. With the resistances and Ult regen, max health boost and stamina, on my Stam Warden using bull netch the sustain is very good. All that is good for tanking and pvp.
