Lack of Variety in Event Rewards

The last event that took place in Summerset had mirrors and lighting and some other nice furnishings you could purchase with event tickets. None of the events since have had any furnishings, or anything else for that matter that I care about. How about a little more variety in the rewards, so everyone can have something they enjoy to work toward.

I would LOVE it if they offered some more varied rewards geared towards different types of players. In my case, there have been way to few decent rewards to spend my tickets on in the past year and a half. Those mounts were the ugliest things ever, regardless of morph, I do not see the point in style pages since I wear a guild tabard, so crown clothing is my only option, I craft dailies on numerous chars, so I have a never-ending supply of repair kits and the list goes on.

I am sincerely hoping the house at the end of this year isn't complete garbage, as to date it is the only reward that holds the slightest interest to me. It would be awesome if throughout this year they at least gave unique furnishing items to buy. I am not a housing nut, but those are something I could at least use! I would be ok with riding lessons as well, as I do make new characters so I would be happy to burn event tickets on some stam and cap lessons... they can keep speed, as they give them out so often I have more than I will ever use in my bank already.

Even better, numerous different mounts I could piece together. At least that way there might be one that catches my eye... instead of going all in on one really ugly one and then just changing its color over and over.

As of now I have 2 morpholiths (one disassembled still) and may buy the little pet just to burn tickets, but know I will never pull it out. I have zero interest in the skin and whatever the next thing is before the house (I forget but remember not liking it either when I saw it).

    Please do something!

All I remember is one furniture event, not events.

You don't care about furniture, and I don't care about pets and skins. There should be a variety of rewards for every event, so everyone can get something they care about.

I would think they could add several vendors for the purpose of selling more items.

    That ^^^

As far as we get something else.. variety... no we don't. It is the same old garbage every event. Skins, pets I don't want, armor style pages I will never use. There is literally almost no variety at all in event rewards... and I have to wait until the end of this year before something that I "might" desire gets added. Making it over 2 years worth of events to find a single item worth having. They need WAY more options.

There were more furniture items in events than Alinor. I rememember Orcish and Imperial.

And sorry, but this is still variety. Furniture is hard to make feel like complete reward so I guess that's why they rarely use it. Also mounts, pets, skins and armors are something anyone can use effortless, even if they don't really care about that sort of thing. You just click one thing in a menu and et voilà, done. With furniture you have to have a house and even a few pieces won't make it feel nice and complete. So ZOS caters to bigger playerbase who is more likely to enjoy and use the rewards.

I don't see anywhere that I claim to not care about furniture.? I'll always prefer goodlooking stuff that I can bring around with me though..

I'd assume that the rewards are based on what the majority wants.. visuals.. Also, my own theory is that if we get too many items in the pot, people will start to stress over not being able to get them all, and that will eventually lead to even more angry threads

Well, then they should fix the singular item in this game that keeps a great many players, myself included, from caring about visuals... Guild Tabards. You cannot create an awesome costume/look and wear a guild tag over your head, well because it isn't just over your head like every other game ever, it covers your entire outfit! The only exception they made for this, is crown clothing, which is what I have been regulated to wearing if I want to have any sense of style at all, which I actually do.

Which on that note, they could add special event dyes, those I can use. Not those weird 3 color ones in the crown store, real dyes that go in your book.

Without taking the entire tabards discussion here, I would love to see it overhauled

Yeah, I don't want to derail the thread either, but the problem the OP mentioned, variety, may have other ways of solving than just adding more items. Making people care about the items that are there would work as well. Mine was one example of why I don't like them, but I am sure there must be many others as well.

I do get that expansion would be a serious problem for the "gotta catch'em all" crowd, but there should be a happy medium. Or just make it neigh impossible to have it all, and you would just need to focus on what actually matters to you, instead of just collecting everything for the sake of collecting everything. Alternatively, being able to sell my event tickets would work as well, then they at least wouldn't be useless and wasted on me, other players could make use of them and I would get at least something out of the deal.

I am sure there are pro's and con's to all of those ideas, but something should change, because quite honestly, a lot of us feel rather left out of the whole "event" thing ticket wise.

It is nigh impossible already, unless you are a very active player.. right now, it seems we are not able to get everything with tickets any way.. and honestly, this collector mentality CAN be a real issue for people.. just like some others see crown crates as a gambling issue.. both the collector mindset and the gambling one, is an issue to some and no worries for others

The furnishings offered have all been things you could get in other ways so the collectors would have no reason to be unhappy. :) I was hoping some Dunmer furnishings would be available from the Impressario similar to the Summerset event. This time I’m more excited for the boxes than tickets as I hope to finally collect all the Dunmer motifs!

You can't make people care about things they don't. We either like something or we don't. I am never going to care about pets or skins or style pages I think look gawdy.

I mentioned furnishings because that was the only thing I cared about buying from any event so far. And there are a lot of players who do like housing enough that adding a furnishing or two with each event would be well received.

I'm sure there are different things others would like, too. All I'm asking is that they offer a wider variety of rewards.
