I look at the tickets as extra fluff. Most of the event things bought with tickets I end up forgetting about, except for the odd motif that I end up using a lot like my Opal Ilambris Staff.

I was initially dissapointed when after doing the vivec quests and it only handed me one (1) ticket
then I looked at the news site and read that doing Clockwork city quests also hands me one.

Still I had hoped for at least 3 like usual

The event ticket payout is normal, every event gives two or three... my issue is with having to be in the clockwork city area with so many other players. Clockwork city is WAY too small for events like this! With 100+ players per world boss, atleast 3 players running to each resource node that spawns, etc. Too small.

I saw a world boss spawn and die within 1 second!

So we're going to base the ticket pay out on older circumstances and not the fact that the events have grown beyond what the original payouts were capable of doing?

I'm at Wraith-of-Crows... She spawns, dies within seconds, and about 80% of the players turn around and charge out of the area... but they mostly come BACK just in time for the next respawn.

I am convinced that some of them are deliberately griefing, not just to hog the world bosses' normal item drops for themselves, but in order to prevent ordinary players from getting any actual drops from the bosses because there's no chance of getting in the top 12, and in some cases no chance to even land one hit on the boss.

The first day is almost always a mess because everyone is getting in for their first set of tickets. It'll die off in a few days. But you still have a point. The ability to even farm these dropboxes are going to be difficult until the hype falls off.

Use ground AoEs? Go fight the other CWC boss? Fight the Morrowind bosses? You’re not locked into just Clockwork.

It doesn't work that way. Players can earn ONE ticket from Morrowind dailies, and ONE from Clockwork dailies. There is no way to earn the Clockwork daily ticket without... uhm... doing a clockwork daily.

I did that one a few years ago during the event, and the game literally wouldn't let you leave because there were so many people there, lagging it out. Kill the boss, take the portal, and sit in an indefinite loading screen until kicked from inactivity. When you log back on, you're still stuck in the boss area. Repeat. I haven't been back since. XD

Yes 2-3 tickets a day is normal, but in previous events those have come from 1 quest. Now it's two different daily quests, in different zones, giving 1 ticket each. It's more hassle (especially since you have to go between different maps) for the same reward.

Since I'm not interested in most of the stuff available for tickets I might just do 1 Morrowind quest a day to get back up to 12 tickets (having bought 2 fragments for an additional morpholith). I don't think it's worth the time or hassle to do both zones dailies and as someone else said Clockwork City is annoying when it's full of people.

They reduced the "base" tickets needed for the "pet" from 40 (when an indrik) to 15... yet people will still find something to whine about when they move from 3 per event to 2.

There are more than just the world boss dailies and you don't have to loot the boss to get the ticket. The people who want the loot from the boss have just as much right to it as you do.

Because the proportion hasn't reduced as significantly anymore in the number of days required to get the stuff you needed. People liked the last event where you could get the pet and an item or 2 of other stuff.

So this event introduced 1 new piece of the morph, for 10 tickets (5 days)... and you have 7 other days to get tickets for 14 extra above and beyond what is only available. In my mind that's "an item or 2 of other stuff".

I'm aware. The individual I was responding to was just talking about the world boss dailies. It remains true players can't do Morrowind boss dailies and somehow get credit for Clockwork world boss daily.

Yeah, they introduced 25 tickets worth of "ticket only items" (3 fragments for pet + first fragment for skin)

This event they introduced only 10 tickets worth of "ticket only items" (second fragment for skin)

Every event doesn't have to be a full "catch-up" event for opting out of the previous one... 0.o

No. But ones that that are after ones with low participation, like this one, would be nice to be catchups. Also what would be so bad if they were? The grinding stuff tends to be cheap by the end of it anyway.

Nope, I don't care either way. As long as they continue to give enough tickets to get all the ticket only items, I couldn't care less. Everything else can be gotten for gold if necessary. Hence my response of "I don't care"

So, yes, I think it's whiny to complain when they give you the option to get 14 more tickets than you need. Sorry if you felt it was a personal attack.
