Old outfits/costumes showing their age

After looking at the dwarven loot crates it’s really evident how some of the old armors,outfits, and costumes are showing their age compared to the new ones. Some of the styles and costumes look like a ps2 game. I understand it’ll never happen but if would be nice if old items got a facelift to match better with new releases.

Have you seen old racial motifs? Some are not even 3D models but just a texture slapped over your character, it's SO bad.

I agree. I understand not wanting to change already made art or however it's phrased, but I think just texture updates would be ok.

They made changes once that I remember and the outcry was great and powerful. Players that had the set because they liked the way it looked were not happy at all.

Best we can hope for is some of the sets get released with updated look and a special designation added to the name.

I still want some of the sets to be released with battle worn options. Some dents and gashes in them.

It seems like they're doing a bit of updating with the Ancestral Racial Motifs found via Antiquities, but we've only been able to obtain 4 so far: Altmer, Orc, Nord, and Reach (Barbarian).

The models for Breton, Imperial, and Akaviri have been datamined but no update on when they'll be released. Though, they have been seen on some characters, notably some members of House Ravenwatch in the Markarth DLC. With great luck, we'll see those motifs available through Blackmoor. If not...

To appease those who like the current motifs, the devs could make 'new' books or chapters and we could collect those in future content. Basically, have 'motif I', and 'motif II'. 'Motif I' would be the original, while 'Motif II' would be the update.
