I wasn't around when this was given as a free house with the Summerset chapter and this is the first time I have seen it for sale since I started playing, about 2 years ago, so I decided to check it out. My first impression, how the heck do you make that look occupied with only 700 slots. Don't get me wrong, I think it is an awesome design and as I walked through I had a ton of build ideas, but I just don't see any way to adequately furnish that house without leaving large sections of it untouched. If any of you have pics or videos where you accomplished this seemingly impossible task I would love to see them.

You can't make it look occupied using all the available space.

You are going to have to completely cut off entire sections to make it look even remotely decent.

That applies to all notable homes from the crownstore. Either you decorate the entire house with a few furnishings here and there or you pick and focus on a few sections.

I haven't finished it yet but I guess big furniture that takes up a lot of space might help.

Ok so I don't know how to record my houses to make like tour videos. And I don't have a good method for getting good screenshots. But I play on Xbox and if you ever want a tour I have probably the most throughout unique designed villas on any server. Its fully alinor themed and has 13 siting and meditation areas/ parlor alcoves outside. Inside a museum for relics a grand library and giant chapel.

Its a multi thousand crown multi million gold project. So few people have ever seen it but everyone who does is impressed. My goal with both the aldmeri grotto and the grand villa was to fully flesh them out with the minimal slots while keeping to Altmer themes.

If anyone is on Xbox na and wants a tour message me TheNuminous1

I tried to make something out of the house when it first came out and never could come close to having it look complete. Instead I've found it makes a great warehouse especially for large items with all the room inside and out. With all of the space you can place items and have plenty of room to see how the pieces look from all angles against other furnishings.

My Villa is not nearly full yet, because I have struggled to figure out what to do with it.

I put in some large cherry trees and other plants in the entry area to try to fill in the space. The two back rooms as bedroom and kitchen have quite a few things in them, and the back basement type room with the pool is a library and study.

The two front rooms with the windows have crafting tables and not much else.

The upstairs is also mostly empty, not sure what to put there.

The outside I just added trees and plants, and some gazebo structures and statues. I have some siege equipment as well since that outside area is large enough for it.

I don’t know if that sounds interesting enough for images or video here. I haven’t made a video yet because it’s still a work in progress.

That is the problem with the big houses - don't get me wrong, they are nice and all, but the megalomaniac sizes are SHOUTING in your face that the designers have never been told that we players can only put 350/700 things in those houses.

Thats also why I don't own many. I'd rather buy smaller houses that I can make look good with the amount of furniture I can put in. But that us players like those has been told in forum very often also and no one cares.

I recently done the quest for Dratha in Tel Mora. As I walked through her tower I realised it's quite empty. In fact many places in game are. There are this big vast rooms with a few chairs and bookcases scattered around. You can certainly make Psijic Villa look "occupied" like that and I'm sure that's what devs had in mind. I'm glad they sized down the houses a bit now.

You can do a reasonable job outside using the largest trees you have access to. That is generally going to encourage you to leave space, rather than fill it with every flower type available. Infill is your enemy here.

If you think about most statues you've seen around IRL, they have space around them. An overgrown ruin is a different category.

For the water areas, unless you've got a fish drying factory build, not every area needs to be full of clutter. Although I am going to have problems when I acquire any more pieces of coral. Another purchase coming up I guess.

Hopefully that leaves you with enough slots free for the inside. For an art gallery or museum the more spectacular pieces tend to have space around them too, whereas smaller items will tend to get clumped.

One final thing that stood out from when I visited Pompeii, the Romans that could afford villas tended to have statement pieces to show of their wealth and taste rather than a Liberace gilt everything wherever you look approach.

I don't think the item limit is perfect, but as with bag and bank space I'm pretty bad at filling things up simply because that's the point at which you can say "it's finished".

I got it for free. It has a lot of big open spaces that are really hard to fill so i just use mine as furniture storage. When they up the limit, if they ever do, i might do something with it but right now its a UStoreIt. I got several houses like this that are to big to properly decorate so i don't bother. I actually find the small and medium ones to be a lot more fun. I wish they would add more of those, for gold.

I have the Antiquarian's house and Serenity Falls Estate both fully decorated and am not close to maxing out my available slots. I don't understand what players are placing that is using all their slots while leaving their house still looking empty. You don't have to place something on every single square inch of the property for it to look fully decorated.
