I don't think anyone would ask "why?" if they make Fenn a companion. Just look at the forums. As for "why not <someone's favourite character>?" answer is usually pretty obvious: they are either dead or community wasn't asking for them long/loud enough.3 -

Good point. Don't know what I would choose, new adventures specifically involving him, or just taking him with me on all the adventures. I have a feeling that Imperial Old Life quest is essentially a confirmation who is dead dead and who's just pretending. But still, I miss that edgy Altmer and wouldn't mind seeing him again.6 -

It doesn't have to be "either or". As soon as a NPC has a role in the story again, he is not available as a companion during this time. When the quest is over, he's back.

Raz is an prime example as he is in the AD main quest but also shows up many places like Summerset and Elsweyr.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.1 -

I have an NPC romance shaped hole in me whilst I wait for Dragon Age 4...
I love Fenn, and I would love to have him and so many other characters as companions... Especially if Fenn was included in a romance sorta thing... I would love that (but I know a lot of others wouldn't, but hey, you never have to even click the romance options in DA games so you can completely ignore them)

✭Speaking of hunger, lust and charisma, our real hero, Darien, has all three: Hunger (eats that bread), lust (yep), and charisma (in spades). Darien is therefore a better companion than every Ravenwatch Vampire combined. Change my mind.1 -

Meh, Darien is too easy to see through. It's more interesting when you have to read between the lines.2 -

✭✭I for one would not like recycling the notable NPCs in the game. This would diminish the immersion, just imagine meeting Fennorian or Darien in-game while having them beside you as companions?2 -

But that would not happen, as already thought, as soon as they play a role in a quest, they are not available as companion respectively you are on the road with them anyway. And if you haven't played certain quests with the characters yet, then it's the same problem as with others anyway; if you don't play particular quests in the "right order" things become unlogical.3 -

✭I don't know, I kind of ship Fennorian with Melina Cassel. If you meet her in the Reach she talks about her feelings for a fellow young member of the Ravenwatch, who is clearly Fenn. I do like him a lot though...despite having told Melina to be honest about her feelings, if given the option I might still take it, lol.PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.2 -

✭As much as I would want some of them, I don't think any known NPC will ever be a companion. It would mean they would have to meet themselves if you did content out of order, and the timeline is broken already just with the Five Companions being in multiple places at the same time...0 -
eleuthera91✭✭✭I dunno, I don't like the idea to have as companions NPC that I encountered and befriended in the game; I'm ok if they are new characters that I can growth with.
Instead I really really would like if any of those old friend could be always interactable in their respective "home" points and have proper dialogues (like someone as Gabrielle for example, nowhere to be found after the Antiquities intro quest u.u)Edited by eleuthera91 on April 19, 2021 6:17PM1
