I imagine first you have to sell your soul to Clavicus Vile to engage in such unethical activity, but I'm not sure.
    May Stendarr forgive you!
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

I've heard that, in order to make a safer transaction, the person BUYING the crowns sends their gold FIRST... and then you 'gift' them the crowns.

That's safer for the seller but riskier for the buyer
which is frankly a non issue. The seller is the one putting up actual real life money. If you absolutely need to make this trade with a stranger without any other agreed methods, then the risk should entirely be on the person who is at risk of losing video game money.

No. It isn't a non-issue. It's certainly less important than the seller getting ripped off, but not the point that it makes any sort of sense to call it a non-issue. People put in time for their coin, and should work to safeguard it. The buyer's safety should be important to the buyer.

It makes perfect sense for a buyer to prefer sellers who will give them the item first. And some sellers keep track of trustworthy buyers and will give the item first to that group in order to ensure faster and easier business at low risk. Nothing wrong with that.

Be very careful when buying or selling crowns. It's a con artists market.

while the pc has a few discord communities to sell crowns in, they have a lot of hidden rules or special non-sensical verbiage or special reactions you are required to use on specific posts that can make their "services" frustrating to use and find yourself suddenly banned over.

You hand them gold, they use the crowns they have on their account to "gift" you the item you paid for
