*sigh* I didn't say it was a bad thing. But the developers of this game have a very tight vision of what they want their game to be.

Much of the OP is something the poster is very invested in - but has little relationship to what the devs have envisioned for this game. So if the OP really wants all that stuff to happen, well, it's not likely to arrive in THIS game. A couple of minor items, yes - but really.... A person with that much vision and imagination should be making his/her OWN game.

Except my own game would play [almost] exactly like an Elder Scrolls game. I can't improve upon this kind of greatness. Neither can any other game it seems. You can even play Skyrim offline while connecting your PC to a gas-guzzling generator. Outside of the most massive game of real life pick-up-sticks I'm forced to play outside, modded Skyrim is my entire life now that the lights are eternally off, and I'm enjoying every shivering second of it. Miss you, though, ESO. <3 If I end up missing out on the daily mead serving houseguest because of this nonsense, I'm seriously going to die inside. A lot.

    Optional Higher Difficulty Overland

For players that are looking for a more exciting Overland experience, we have added a story-related opportunity to debuff your character without having to remove armor or change your Champion Point layout. After completing a heroic questline, an NPC can be found within the Fighter’s Guild that will grant players an optional debuff that greatly increases damage done to the player by Overland mobs, quest mobs, World bosses, dolmen denizens, etc. Tamriel has never felt more terrifying. This debuff can be added or removed at any time when engaging with this NPC. However, you must be level 50 and champion point 160 or above on at least one character to have access to this gameplay. Once debuffed, there will be a faint heroic golden glow surrounding your character to indicate to others your grit and determination to finally be on equal combat footing with the world around you. This debuff will not be applied in Cyrodil, Imperial City, battlegrounds, dungeons or trials.
The debuff only affects the amount of damage done to you. It does not restrict the amount of damage you can do, nor does it increase the health of mobs which would effectively turn them into boring damage sponges. Nope, no one likes that, and none of that is happening. You may want to run for your life, though, at least more than before, because things will just hit a lot harder now.
With more danger comes better rewards. We have implemented a Televar-like system using Hero stones. This system multiplicatively increases the amount of Hero stone currency you can acquire while fighting in Tamriel and remaining alive.

I do love the write up and only read the first part about optimal higher difficulty. Thanks for taking the time to write up your vision.

But since it is it’s not happening, tI make my own higher difficulty of mobs monsters, to enjoy the game I envision it.

By removing skills , passives , Cp, attributes , eq, buffs, and even pointy large stone buffs.

Do you have your own play style and would you be interested on creating one with the use of addons and RP?

Never say never. Something may still happen at some point  The demand is certainly here for it. I'd even be happy with a simple mythic item that "greatly increases damage taken." Maybe including a small xp buff as the only reward for gimping yourself that hard. Now that we'll finally be free of the obnoxious champion point cap, both xp and leveling up should be interesting again, so why not. I could just toss one of these mythics on myself and my companions, and the problem of an unsatisfying Overland experience is nearly solved.
As far as immersion, currently, I'm using all of the immersion addons and settings available to us, and alpha gear 2 related addons to quickly change between outfits and builds, removing everything necessary to improve Overland play as much as possible. But no matter how much I reduce or take off, I'm still not taking enough damage, and with no consequences for dying, Overland remains unexciting from a gameplay perspective, not taking into consideration the amazing atmosphere, landscape, and story telling.
I'm hoping Q4 2021 might bring some changes to this unrelenting reality. Actually, more so praying 🙏. To an entirely unresponsive Talos.
