Looking to retire my magplar and swap to something else. Suggestions?

I've been playing my magplar in Cyro for ages but I'm at the point where I feel like I can't do much. I like to stick with one character for everything and am not sure which to choose between a magblade, mag/stamsorc, and stamden. I tend to spend most of my time in a group of 6-10 (not a ball group) but like to do bgs from time to time. Overall though I'd prefer it if the class could 1vX and solo in Cyro as well if I'd ever want to branch out to that. Which would be a solid class of those 3 to choose? Magblades look appealing because of bombing but I don't know how they are outside of that scenario. Stamdens I've heard are really strong but I'm worried they will get the nerf hammer like Magplar and be reduced to nothing. I also have a sorc and both mag and stam look appealing but I know little about them.

I mean Stamplar is still doing alright right now. I don't know how it will be in a few days when the patch drops though.

Definitely not Magblade. It's sort of like a more mobile version of Magicka Necromancer that has worse self healing (for PvP that is; its PvE self healing is actually really good, which is why it's so incredibly popular and strong for Veteran solo arenas).

Stamina Warden has been top notch for PvP for nearly 4 years now, and I don't really expect that to change anytime soon. Sure, it might get nerfed, but that's true for every other class as well. After all, some nerfs happen for PvE purposes and make absolutely no sense whatsoever for PvP.

Stamina Sorcerer is also incredibly strong right now, even if you don't abuse any of the bugs that it's currently benefitting from. The mobility, sustain, and single target burst damage are all extremely good, and Negate is an invaluable ultimate to have for more coordinated group settings.

Magicka Sorcerer is really strong in the right hands, but it's going to be a bit less forgiving of mistakes than pretty much any Stamina build besides an ultra-squishy gank setup. I'd say that it's the overall best Magicka class, and not super difficult to play at a "decent" level, but still frequently behind its stamina counterparts.

I made a support magcro for small group open world Cyro CP (off meta) and I'm having a ball. It's so flexible. She gets lots of kills in small groups, can stay up against a few players at once but doesn't have the dps to be a 1vX killer...but that's not my playstyle. It synergises well with stamsorcs/magsorcs who get the killing blows.

It certainly won't beat for that 1vx stuff stamden or stamplar or even some stamcros because stam is favoured in PVP stats atm however when the proc sets disappear during the test it all may change.

I agree magsorc in PvP is probably best mag option for straight out dps and ease of play. Mobility matters.

In other content for levelling, or a PvP break, it's a bit weird after magicka templar keeping your dead minions up for heals and cleanses but you can play ranged or melee, CC, heal or tank effectively in most content. (I haven't tried vet trials but she did ok as pure heals or dps in most vet dungeons and as I said she makes a great support class).

I pretty much main magplar and stamplar. Recently I've been working on a stamsorc and I really love it so far. Completely different playstyle but I think that's what I love about it.

I would wait on deciding until the current PTS goes live the 8th of March, the likelihood of more adjustments are high so patience will serve you well. Knowing that the possibility of CP adjustments and class changes won't occur as frequently after the PTS goes live should comfort you in picking a class.

Those are the three classes with the greatest difficulty to play against. True.

Magplar is just mediocre vs 50k health 33k res Stamwardens.
