Just to many issues resulting in me getting to play less time and being mad and frustrated everytime I play because it's nothing but black screen blue screen freeze booted from server failed to connect etc.... Not one other game in any genre has ever had so many issues it's really a sad ........

I don't have such issues and never had them in 5 years of play. Never from the game's side that is. Are you sure it's not just your hardware/software causing this?

I did have a problem at one point with connecting, and I've posted a guide on the support forum for how to solve that. The problem was on my side and with my computer though - again.

Many don't and many do have issues.

Am lucky(?) to count myself in the first lot.

Feel really bad for new guildies/players that just cannot get the game to work.

Not sure what can be done about these discrepancies in play experience (aside from person by person live help which would never happen lol).

Yeah, I've been playing four years and don't experience these problems. I sometimes have lag spikes and occasionally will get booted from the server, but I can always get right back in.

Having said that, back when I had a specific laptop, I had an issue with the game that made it literally unplayable - I crashed on character select. We're not talking every now and then either, we're talking 49 times out of 50. I would try to get in game and crash 20 times in a row before giving up. Nothing I tried would make any difference and support was unable to help either. I rolled back Windows updates, graphics card driver updates, changed ports, uninstalled and reinstalled, you name it. And it was only ESO, everything else ran fine including much more intensive and demanding games. Ultimately I had to get a new computer for other unrelated reasons, and the new one went right back to running ESO just fine. Never did find out what the issue was. I figure my laptop was just allergic to ESO.

All this to say that it likely is a user end problem, but it might possibly not be easily fixable either.

I do not have those issues either, and not many seem to have them. A few do however experience many issues, like yourself. I'm not sure if you are on PC, if you are on PC make sure to: **Let a professional do/check this!!**

1: Check for virusses: These can slow your computer down, use bandwidth, and can cause crashes.
2: Make sure your drivers are all up to date, and installed correctly. Otherwise, crashes.
3: Make sure no unneeded programs are running: These might conflict with ESO or drivers. And I do not mean close everything down, I mean make sure they do not even start when rebooting your computer.
4: Make sure your ESO graphical settings are not set too high for the GPU you have installed. This generally results in black screens if these are set too high.
5: Make sure your router discards unneeded packages. In some cases data keeps rebounding between PC/router/receiver, where it kills your internet as more and more packages rebound. Also make sure your router does not send/respond to outside WAN requests, as those use bandwidth for no reason.
6: Turn of "automatically check for updates" in EVERY installed program. These use bandwidth continuously for no good reason, and when you use those programs they will tell you when an update is available anyways.
7: Make sure all optional powercables are all inserted on the motherboard, just incase there is a powershortage somewhere.
8: Make sure to only have one audio output device set, having multiple could cause issues with some games like ESO.
9: Let your GPU reach its base temperature before starting ESO. GPU's expand/detract a little, this may cause them to lose connection to the motherboard temporarily. Possibly resulting in black screens, as the computer does not notice the GPU is there. In reverse it works the same, let your GPU gradually cool down to average temperature, before turning off your computer. This also helps preventing wear and tear, as the GPU metals are not rushed to temperature/cooled down.

These are just some general ideas for the issues you described.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I can count on one hand how many times I have been disconnected in ESO, this is also using an old desktop, new desktop and a laptop.

Simple troubleshooting logic tells us that given MOST and I mean MOST do not experience BSOD and also given the BSOD if most often hardware/driver related AND given that those are most often caused by viruses / corrupted drivers on the PC itself you likely need to look for a solution on your end and the problem is not with ESO in this case.

If you can post your PC specs, OS, your current security protocols like virus scanners, do you share your PC with others, do you watch "colorful entertainment?" Yes, that matters as that is the most likely place to get a PC infected. Maybe some of us can offer some help then on what to look for or how to fix your issue.

Also I have 175 add-ons currently using 165 of them no issues. Those are all 3rd party software code and game runs great.

Thats why i finally abandon eso for good..played it from beta..loved it so much..but year ago started to get more and more dissapoint by it..then its changed to hate..struggled to leave it..but finally upcoming changes release me of eso chains...loved old cp system..why they changed it..dunno..stupid idea of companions in mmo..rly?why?all those changes patch after patch to help useless noobs get closer to better players..why???instead of noobs getting to learn game..min/max chars..set up gear..rotation and perfecting it..they nerf upper players and try to buff useless noobs who their own fault is that they are bad at game and lack of brains to try improve..its mmo..its part to get better with time invest and so on not give them everything on plate...like on rl did you win olympics without training hard and spent time..nope..why in game they want babysit trough it?...so to my point..leave this elder noob online game and spent your money and time to game that earn it...to know how i hate eso..i switched to fallout 76 and enjoy it more then this...

You may want to re-read the OPs post, he is not complaining about gameplay, he is making an issue of his PC not being able to run the game. Not sure how your post relates to that.

In your first post on this thread which I quoted you mentioned NOTHING about game performance and everything about how you did not like the gameplay and changes. Now you come back and make a generalization about how the game runs on your machine... I sense something of an agenda here and prefer not to get pulled into a bad faith debate.

No issues here either. It's your computer or ISP. It just is.

All of you having problems have been given tricks to try across many threads. If you've tried and they don't work you're going to have spend some jack on a decent gaming computer. If you have crappy internet service there's not much can be done. Mine isn't great and if 3 of us are on, gaming, streaming, etc., we get lags or even disconnects.

2021 and this is the world we have.

The thing is...I want to support this game. I played a lot a couple years ago, now I'm returning as PC player and it's frustrating to not be able to transfer my accounts from PS4 to PC to play. Basically every other game has the capability for cross-platform accounts now, but somehow ESO can't swing it...? It's a money-grab, plain and simple. They want people to create new accounts and pay for new stuff rather than implement a way to transfer accounts.

I also said screw it, I'll stay on console -- at least it should have 60 fps now on PS5...nope. For some reason they still haven't upgraded the frame cap on consoles. I don't even need the full next gen update...I just don't understand why they can't increase the frame cap in the mean time.

So it's basically, play at 30 fps on console (which at this point is a joke) or continue with my level 20 character on PC that I just don't really feel like leveling anymore.

As time goes on I even encounter issues, it all depends on what you're doing. If you're just roaming around the map in PvE performance is fine with no issues the same with dungeons. If you do trials you will notice slight performance issues with the game engine, now going into Cyrodiil reveals all of the game issues from lag, delayed skills, skills not registering, crashes, desync, severe fps drops, high ping & etc.

If OP is having issues just in normal PvE content then it could be a hardware issue, but if he's doing PvP content then it don't matter what hardware he has that performance is a normal feature.

Although saying that, I had an endless load screen swapping between characters the other day to do writs.

..before tryed all..eso is just junk..trust me..not performance itself is problem..have all fps possible from ultra eso settings..ofc eso graphics is just mediocre...was problems in trials and some dungs..playing so much games..my uber pc run everything epic...only eso can crash...like i sad f76 runs perfectly smooth with 100+ fps on my monitor all maxed..not single crash..lag..and so much says f76 is so bad..for me its run like charm..every new major aaa title run high fps like charm..only eso can crash on vss 1st trash pull:)

But runs perfectly smooth with high fps and NO issues at all..think about it!!!only regret i recently bought 21k crown pack:)
