Deltia was definitely a major contributor to the early days of the game, and those stating he didn't know what he was talking about when it came to builds are not entirely off base... but you have to consider that state of the game at the time as well. I've been here since beta and the fact he even managed to get anything put together that was as effective as he made it, was rather remarkable.

He also had a sense of humour which was often absent from other places trying to do the same. My time in Entropy Rising comes to mind, with people like Atropos (founder of now defunct Tamriel Foundry) who was the other type of contributor, mainly so dead serious about themselves as to suck all the joy out of the game.

Last thing anyone could say about Deltia is that he was not fun.

Exactly this, He was one of the most fun streamers and content creators out there (after Kevduit) .

He is a little bit toxic, very funny and pretty energetic guy > all of this makes his content very entertainment.

Guess I was too busy experiencing the game

I wasn't a big Deltia fan back in the day myself, but some of ya'll are just haters lol .

He was great for what he was, which is a resource for brand new players to learn more about the game. Once you got past that stage and wanted more high level strategies/gameplay, you moved on to other content creators.

I liked watching Delia's videos but honestly I feel like his life is better now without ESO and it would be selfish of me to ask him to come back. The game as it is now isn't worth the trouble.

I dunno about all the negative stuff, but his guides were the first I ever used when I realised that I didn't have a clue what I was doing, around VR11 I think xD. I still use elements of his builds now (mixed in with a bit of Alcast and Xynode lol). He was kind enough to answer questions on Twitter and didn't laugh at my appalling dps. I got so excited to hit 10k dps and he just congratulated me, I would've taken the *** out of me personally - I still cringe now thinking about it. I'd never MMO'd before and wasn't clear about a lot of stuff to do with builds, stats, sets etc and I found his guides to be the best for complete beginners. I know he felt he was spending too much time on the game and had a new family to take care of which is partly why he quit, but I'd be happy to see him back, even if he just pops in for a visit.

    __________________________Backstories:_________________________

Ras Kalik the Vestige, a renown Redguard warrior; He has been blessed to save Tamriel from Molag Bal’s destructive Planemeld while reuniting the Five Companions. His further accomplishments after defeating Molag Bal, has been to stop the destruction of Morrowind, the Clockwork City, return order to the isle of Summerset and create a new king in Wrothgar and a queen in Elsywer. These events have made him a living legend and continue to lead him into new adventures throughout Tamriel, as well as into the hearts of many ladies including the Elf Queen, Aryenn. Over many years of adventurous travels, Ras Kalik had become a loner, until he re-visited his homeland of Alik'r.

Alik'r and it's cities were overrun by the undead Ra-Netu and therefore he made an allegiance with Alik'r's own Ash'abah tribe. These Ash'abah with his help, cleansed the city of Sentinel in Alik'r desert and it's surrounding areas of the undead brought to life by the Withered Hand. After rescuing Sentinel from the undead zombies, King Fahara’jad’s personal bodyguard the Goliath of Hammerfell, who was given this name by Imperials in the region; was asked to assist the tribe after learning of the defeat of the Withered Hand to the Ash'abah. Kalik promised Goliath he would task him with fighting living enemies on the battlefield if he so desired. Goliath being a Yokudan warrior wields a massive sword in respect to the Ansei, a gift given by the Imperial, Cinan Tharn. Not many soldiers are able to wield double two handed weapons, but Goliath loves to get up and personal in a fight, so he also carries a giant maul, both weapons laced with magical flames.

Jux Blackheart is a master thief that masquerades as a Bard at the Sisters of the Sands inn, with his younger sidekick Lucky Hunch for pilfering and gambling during this time. Jux was known to infiltrate any towns bank vault he came across and even delved into Ayelid ruins without detection. Kalik can vividly recall the night he met the famed thief. Jux found himself rummaging thru a slightly inebriated Kalik’s pocket for too long, on a full-mooned night and because of his greed and the glimmer of his golden armor in the moonlight. He lost his left pinky fingertip as a lesson! But in return, he gained a new friend, as it was his first time since a child being caught red-handed...

Upon arrival back in the Alik'r after many moons of adventuring, Ras Kalik ventures to Bergama. Visiting The Winking Jackal, he runs into Jux Blackheart, who introduces him to the coin game Crowns vs Forebearers (Heads vs Tails) and Golden Dwemer (RBG).... Jux constantly takes gold from the unfortunate thru theft or gambling, his biggest gambling victim is actually his partner in crime known as Lucky Hunch the Gambler. Lucky doesn't mind losing any gold coins to Jux... as Jux saved him from Altmer slavers in Summerset, by stealing a key and sending him on a boat to the mainland years prior. Lucky spent years in slavery with Khajiits in Summerset and picked up the art of subterfuge, using illusion magic disguises and stealing there.

Kaotik Von’Daemon an outcast, and a half-caste between a Breton mother and a Redguard father. Kaotik become a pariah due to his conjuration of Daedra pets. He was taught healing magic during his childhood years by his Breton mother. His father due to Redguard customs exiled him from the desert, sending him by wagon caravan to be a soldier in the war in Cyrodiil. He happened to meet Kalik while traveling from Alik'r, during this long caravan ride the caravan he was in was ambushed in Bangkorai by a group of bandits. Kalik by chance was also traveling thru this area on his Auridon Warhorse (which was bestowed to him by his friend, Darien Gautier). During this ambush, Kalik was able to rescue five hostages from the bandits. Kaotik was the first rescued, and Ras Kalik also recruited him to be in the Ash'abah tribe. These core Ash'abah tribesmen may never be seen together in travel as they partake in their own adventures but they always know what each other is doing; as they frequent a hideout in northern Bankorai. Their hideout an old Orc castle ruin, is kept watch by Nuzhimeh and she passes messages written between them, and frequently they also enjoy her company and her bed.

The other men rescued were a Dunmer banker, an Imperial mercenary and two other soldiers, an Imperial and a Breton Knight, stating proudly he was an Akavir descendent. One of the Imperials, Cinan, claimed to be related to Abnur Tharn the Battlemage of the Imperial Elder Council (One of Ras Kalik's mentors in the Five Companions). Cinan Tharn was really Abnur's drunkard treasure hunting illegitimate son. He was caught smuggling artifacts out of the Ayleid ruins in Cyrodiil and the elder of the two Imperials was Tyrus Septim a retired Imperial navy battle-mage (now a Lycan mercenary living in the city of Rimmen) and guard to the Tharn family. As much as Abnur Tharn hated his half-sister Euraxia, he dislikes his bas†ard son Cinan more. Tyrus now a ruffian and privateer had been paid by Abnur Tharn to watch over Cinan as much as possible. Cinan Tharn a drunkard, loves to drink at least a quarter barrel of Nord mead before he raids various delves and dungeons for relics to sell on the black market. Cinan also plans to one day, run an illegal gambling ring... which he thinks will net him more gold for his wares.

The Dunmer captive shackled to the Imperials looked familiar to Kalik from his time in Morrowind.... and he recognized him as Tythis Andromo a House Telvanni slave-owner and banker from Vvardenfell. During a rough interrogation to Tythis, Ras Kalik learnt why the bandits accosted him. The racist Dunmer was providing slaves as soldiers for the Three Banner War. The bandits were trying to negotiate a lucrative ransom for Andromo and the Imperials.... Kalik did not need any of this gold and he could never set Tythis free as he did with the two Imperial soldiers. His past involvement with slavery and war crimes, made Kalik's blood boil. He chose not to execute Tythis, as he figured the worse punishment for this former rich and opulent slave owner, is to now be an imprisoned servant for Ras Kalik and the tribe.

Herzog Zwei the Genesis a reknown Imperial/Akavirri battle-mage. His roots going back to Akavir through his mother’s bloodline. (His mother is descended from the Akaviri, through Versidue-Shae, and his Imperial father met her in Hakoshae, while traveling) Herzog earned the nickname "the Genesis" from his father as a child, as he was his mother's first born child, and last, as she tragically died in child-birth.

Herzog was seeking to purchase an artifact from Cinan Tharn, before their capture and was meeting Tyrus while in Rimmen, who introduced him to Cinan. This artifact being the Ayelid artifact; the sword Sinweaver. After their rescue and the exchange of gold to Cinan for the sword he decided to slip away before Ras Kalik could question who he was, and why the Akavir descendant really wanted that sword. Herzog was headed to Nagastani — An Ayleid ruin in eastern Cyrodiil. He had read in scrolls that the Sword would give him magical powers to meet his mothers spirit, if he performed an Ayleid ritual at an old shrine hidden there. Equipped with the artifact sword, he was off to start his own adventure but Ras Kalik, did indeed notice the sword however and instead sent a letter to Jux Blackheart (whom also was interested in Ayleid treasures), to attempt to find Herzog and acquire the sword. (*Azani Blackheart in Elder Scroll's Oblivion is Jux's descendant some 747 years later)

And so the Redguard, Imperial and Akaviri men parted ways ... While Ras Kalik went off to Elsweyr to encounter the latest threat to Tamriel, with Abnur Tharn and Sai Sahan - - DRAGONS!! Little did Ras Kalik know a few people were awaiting him in Senchal besides Sai. A necromancer survived his attack on the Withered Hand, while in Alik'r. The necromancer known as Auriek Siet'ka is also following him to the land of the Khajiits and Cacique the Sage of Ius a Shaman mystic who has become attuned spiritually with Tu'whacca (a Redguard God) and Ius (the Animal God), after being burned severely by the escaped dragons in Elsywer, is awaiting his arrival also. Aurik is a soldier of the Daggerfall Covenant that was introduced to necromancy while in the military, even though this magicka art is not spoken of openly by most of the Military leaders. He came to Alik'r and worked with the Withered Hand before Ras Kalik intervened on their plans. After the defeat of the Withered Hand, he aligned with the Worm Cult, and is constantly adapting and perfecting his necromantic arts.

After his journey to Rimmen, Kalik heads south to Senchal, in the southern regions of Elyswer. This new adventure will also put him on a path to meet a strange Redguard man. The stranger which was infected with an untreated Peyrite disease and also was the exiled from the Order of the New Moon cult, due to his sickness. He originally joined the cult to worship Laatvulon, the green dragon, mistakenly thinking it was the Daedric prince Peyrite. This confused and suffering cultist is known as Tsar al-Bomba and he is on a path to spread the disease. He was originally infected in Orccrest while recruiting members there. Can Ras Kalik and the shaman Cacique cure this poor soul, only time will tell. Little does Tsar al-Bomba know, that his infection is tied to Vampirism, and eventually the desire for blood will take over his mind. Senchal also offers Kalik his latest love interest... Aeliah. Whom he fondly led thru battles with the Dragonguard.

After the trek thru the heat, tropical and desert climate of Northern and Southern Elyswer, Ras Kalik heads north to the cold mountain range of Skyrim. His companion friend Lyris beckons for him with a letter sent by crow...

Movárth Piquine - a former vampire hunter (now infected), within the Fighter's Guild (and a secretive necromancer) was in Skyrim working with the Morthaal Guard. On a patrol mission he was caught in Frewien's ice curse outside of Morthaal with the frozen undead. Movárth's vampiric infection kept him from becoming an undead minion to the curse. He was able to use necromantic ice-magic to encase himself safely until he was freed with Freiwen, when the Vestige Ras Kalik broke the curse.

Uri Ice-Heart - brother of Urfon Ice-Heart. The twin sons of Atli and Oljourn Ice-Heart. The Ice-Heart family are originally from Markarth but now reside on the Jerall Mountain range near Cyrodiil, with their younger sister Araki. The twins had joined the Winterborn Reachmen while living in Markarth. Urfon pushed west to Orsinium with the Winterborn Clan, leaving his family behind. Uri stayed behind with his parents and sister to live in the family cabin for safety, avoiding the Vampire plague infiltrating the Reach. After news reaches him and he hears of Urfon's death... Uri leaves and heads home and is seeking vengeance. Meanwhile, his sister has also moved on to Windhelm to join the Fighter's guild. He will visit his sister, once before going to seek vengeance and she will craft him armor mixed with ice, called Stalhrim armor. Uri fearing death, after his brother's passing, falls victim to the convincing talk of Movárth at a Nordic tavern, and will also becomes a vampire.

I had the pleasure to play WGT with once him waaaaaaaay back, back when his kid was just a little baby. And he's good. MUCH better than some "famous" youtuber/blogger that claims to be the official sheet with not-so-good content. It would be nice to have him back, shook building community for a while, though I'd still be 50/50 between him and Xynode — problem with Xynode is he speaks too fast to me >.<

I was in a trade guild with him and he and I both regularly joined people asking for pledge groups. He was always good humored and and a solid all-around player.

Lots of people raged over the sustain changes with Morrowind. IIRC it came at a time when he was already getting a little burnt out and had a kid on the way to focus on.

I never followed his content, and don’t know if he’ll be able to carve out a niche these days - it’s a completely different game than before. But more ESO content creators are good for the community and for growing the player base.

Ah, but do you remember HOW he did that? Remember when you could enter a dungeon or Trial on a CP 10 character and that set the level of the dungeon/trial?

That is what he did. He had two accounts so he would log in on two computers and set the level with a lowbie he grouped himself with then "solo" that dungeon. He explained it in a video one time how he soloed. I was like...whut?

For me this kind of cheesy /exploitive character is not needed for the game. No, thank you!

Well I have a true story featuring Deltia.

A week or so ago, during the height of Midyear Mayhem, I was spending long hours in Cyrodiil. One night after logging off I had a dream of Cyrodiil and that is not unusual because if I play in Cyrodiil a lot, I dream about it.

In this dream I saw an ornate carriage, fully enclosed and drawn by horses, and accompanied by around 5 ornately armored horses with riders. I thought, "When did they add a carriage to mounts" and was looking through some sort of book.

WELL, can you guess who stepped out of the carriage? That's right, it was DELTIA and I think he was wearing a cape. I was so overwhelmed that zeni had added both carriages and capes to Cyrodiil plus Deltia being there, I woke up.

The End, tanks for reading. :)

Title is a typo... DELTIA was a big ESO YouTuber in the early days and definitely had an impact on builds and play styles. There is room for a lot more ESO content creators and the community will call out any BS or toxicity so I wouldn't worry too much. Its good that these big changes are interesting and will hopefully attract others to play and stream the game.

If we're being blunt, Deltia's main claim to fame was being there as early as he was. He had some... "ideas," about builds in ESO that are downright laughable now. To pull two things out of context, he repeatedly argued for a 0/49/0 attribute spec, "because you get more points in health than you do in stamina or magicka, and you can get those stats with enchantments." (We only got 49 attribute points back at launch. It wasn't bumped to 64 until after the level cap hit Vet 16.) Second, he also maintained that Dragon Knights were the only good class in the game, and would demonstrate this by trying to play other classes like DKs, rather than actually playing them, you know, like they were intended to be used.

I'm not sure when he switched to Templars as "the only class worth playing," but when Morrowind reworked sustain, he threw a fit, put up a video conducting a funeral for his Templar and left the game.

At this point, with the entrenched content creators we have now, I'm dubious that he'd be able to carve out a niche today.

not defending Deltia as i know enough about the game to form my own builds.

but iirc the main point of the health dump was that numbers were not balanced correctly across all sources, something ZOS has been adamant about fixing for years so that all sourced stats are equal.

it used to be very bad in that getting specific stats from specific sources just put you at a disadvantage compared to people that knew how to source stats properly.

i do recall that health attribute points gave a colossal amount of health comparatively and that was nerfed i think twice over the games life to were it is now. and to this day we see constant micro adjustments on numbers so stats are sourced evenly.

That's partially correct. The issue was that you couldn't really, "make up," for having 49 points in health on a DPS. As far as I could ever tell, he was looking at it as, "I get 11hp from putting a point in health, but only 10 stam or mag." Which wasn't a good idea for the exact same reason you wouldn't dump 64 points into health on your DPS. You'd get 539 HP instead of 490 Stam or Mag, but that didn't really mean anything, given your damage scaled off of your Stam and Mag pools. It was also 540
hp that your DPS didn't need, and it actively reduced your outgoing damage... so, that's a Deltia build.

Also, without spending hours trying to find old v10 enchants to verify the numbers, my recollection was you actually got marginally more health from enchantments or set bonuses, but this information was not well preserved, so tracking it down today would be time consuming.

Dude doesn't have enough of those left to move the meter. If you were a fanatical Deltia follower, he told you to quit 4 years ago when he threw his tantrum over the Morrowind sustain changes. At this point, Ninja614 probably has more fans than Deltia ever did. Deltia has literally been away from the game longer than he was a content creator for it.

I remember Deltia Gaming, it was where my eye caught a build for Magicka Dragon Knight, it was a Burning Spellweave build that made you (feel) OP. It was a time in where we had to run City of Ash at VR16 because you needed that level of gear dropped and after my friends no longer wanted to run it with me because they got sick of it I decided I should be able to run it solo. We did not have transmute stations, we did not have stickerbooks, all we could do is pray to the RNG Gods and hope it would drop BSW armor, weapons or jewelry in the right traits. When I finally got the last item I needed (after many many many many solo run) to complete my BSW setup, ZOS decided to nerf it in such a bad way that I buried my mDK right next to Deltias Templar ......

I do not stream, I do not have contacts with people that work for ZOS but I can relate to those people that felt that their favorite build was virtually murdered and took away their joy of playing it. Times are better now, if a nerf strikes a setup we can just recreate another from the stickerbook, and no matter what level gear you obtained, you still can use it by recreating it at a higher level with your desired trait.

Long story short: I do NOT miss those "good old days" at all, and if Deltia finds new joy in the game and entertains people with it then I wish him good luck. For the people that do not think Deltia adds anything good to ESO, you are not obligated to watch his streams, or to use his cookiecutter builds, live and let live,

    peace.

If Deltia does come back it would only be a plus for the ESO community!

    Nah, we're fine without him.

Went around soloing vet dungeons way back when on a magplar, then cried and quit the game when ZOS balanced them and he couldn't do it anymore.

That's exactly what we don't need.

    So he abused an exploit?

Wasn't an exploit per se, just how the system worked back then. More so using the system in such a way that it wasn't necessarily intended.

That is not why he quit ESO. You are ill-informed. He quit due to personal reasons. And power to him for the efforts he's made in his life.

He cried when they nerfed templar.

    He then stopped playing.

Then said he was quitting steaming, youtube.

Who knows which was the catalyst for what, but he cried and quit the game after templar nerfs. That's exactly what happened.

He was exactly what we don't need. Someone who likes playing a class or a specific way, and didn't want to try other things. When something changed about his class or playstyle, he didn't like it.

Those types of players are why we see stupid, nonsense changes to classes all the time. They refuse to try other things and complain that x class has that or does that.

I believe the reason he quit streaming/Youtube was to focus on his kid and his work with veteran services as he was an ex-serviceman.
Grouping with his Nugs guild in pvp was always fun. His "Hit's like a truck" "Stack on crown" "Don't chase butterflies" quotes are still etched in my memory.

I wouldn't mind seeing him return, even if just for no proc pvp limited basis. He was always nice to me.

Dude. I still joke about these with some of the OG Nugs from before Nugget Nation was a thing.

Deltia was my favorite streamer and bought the game at Xbox server launch from watching him 2 months before console launch. Though at the end of his time on ESO did not enjoy the shift in his personality went from being fun, funny did not take stuff so seriously then went to being angry and bitter.
