Why not just play yourself ?

It is not even funny - or is it ?

Ive watched alcast for play throughs of end game stuff for research before running it. *shrugs*

Nah, game is better without him and he is better without the game tbh. ESO was a drain on him mentally in the past and he didn't need that after having the kid. Honestly, the game has progressed to the point where there are so many knowledgeable voices that him coming back would just get lost in the void.

He helped the game by spreading awareness due to viewer numbers. He also "helped" people find their footing in the game with explanations etc. I say "helped" cause he wasn't always right and his advice was often questionable. It's not as bad as certain content creators nowadays that intentionally mislead their audiences so overall it wasn't a bad thing.

However he also hurt the game when he threw a fit the way he did and sure he apologized later to the devs for it, but it was too late at that point. A lot of people were parroting his views and ended up quitting.

As long as he doesn't do the latter again I'd be glad if he comes back.

    Deltia who ?

He's THE Deltia...from Deltia's gaming. One of the first people to call it.

He was there for the first proctopalpse.
The Death of Templar. He had a funeral for templar.
He rejected making builds for new classes for reasons.
He made builds for No-CP pvp.
    and so much more.

why reinvent the wheel? Alcast makes YT vids that explain builds and sets. Deltia did that in the past as well. I played the game myself and came up with a meh build. It was only after watching these people I saw the power I could have in game.

Oi oi, so many "chapter kids" here :D Back in my days...

But honestly, he did amazing builds! Like light armour Templar tank! Atlas was one of my most fav. builds! So I'm happy he might come back.

If Deltia does come back it would only be a plus for the ESO community!

    Nah, we're fine without him.

Went around soloing vet dungeons way back when on a magplar, then cried and quit the game when ZOS balanced them and he couldn't do it anymore.

That's exactly what we don't need.

Not really cried and quit. Hes a combat vet, he looked at his gaming habits and said he wanted to take time for his son, work on his health and other irl projects. I think a lot of gamers can learn from his experience

Ah, but do you remember HOW he did that? Remember when you could enter a dungeon or Trial on a CP 10 character and that set the level of the dungeon/trial?

That is what he did. He had two accounts so he would log in on two computers and set the level with a lowbie he grouped himself with then "solo" that dungeon. He explained it in a video one time how he soloed. I was like...whut?

I have a vague remembrance of guildies setting up newbie farming runs of Maw for the Dro-m'Athra motif in guild chat. Which yeah, I can see why they fixed it.

The most positive thing I remember about Deltia is that thanks to his channel Gilliamtherogue got some well earned public attention. Well, at least I wouldn't have stumbled upon Gilliam's channel if it wasn't for Deltia's :D .

:D:D:D:D That is so true. It is so funny to see these "anti Meta" people put in so much effort to "recreate" the wheel. Im not sure if you have ever heard of this, but some people like to become a student of whatever it is that they are doing, so that they may do it better. When did society change so much that doing such things became a bad thing? Sort of reminds of those new players that want an entire break down on how every aspect of the game works, and want it done in the in game chat box instead of doing a little research online to be better prepared for their journey.

That is not why he quit ESO. You are ill-informed. He quit due to personal reasons. And power to him for the efforts he's made in his life.

He cried when they nerfed templar.

    He then stopped playing.

Then said he was quitting steaming, youtube.

Who knows which was the catalyst for what, but he cried and quit the game after templar nerfs. That's exactly what happened.

He was exactly what we don't need. Someone who likes playing a class or a specific way, and didn't want to try other things. When something changed about his class or playstyle, he didn't like it.

Those types of players are why we see stupid, nonsense changes to classes all the time. They refuse to try other things and complain that x class has that or does that.

Alcast is hilarious sometimes. His takes on big additions and changes to combat interested me because his perspective is a lot different from my own.

People watch streams they enjoy watching. Preferences like that are hard to explain.

Grouping with his Nugs guild in pvp was always fun. His "Hit's like a truck" "Stack on crown" "Don't chase butterflies" quotes are still etched in my memory.

I wouldn't mind seeing him return, even if just for no proc pvp limited basis. He was always nice to me.

When you group and see a single enemy or two that clearly won't affect the group, you don't chase them. Stick to taking on bigger groups. This was pre-bombers too, tho. lol

Deltia was THE MAN who taught us early players how to play ESO in his streams.
At that time we knew pretty much nothing about crits, combos etc.
Deltia explained everything nicely and many people owe him.

One reason Deltia left was because ZOS did not fine-balance the game.
Instead ZOS changed mechs with a sledgehammer every few months.
Probably not much has changed since then...

Since then, instead of more skillful play we got even stronger proc sets and Malacath.
Soon we even will get a CRAZY 3600 CP vertical procession on top of it.
Who wants a PvP game which AUTO KILLS people with sets, procs and CP?

I miss the good old times when CP and Procs were LOW and PVP WAS MASSIVE.
Nowadays everything is the opposite - Procs and CP are HUGE but PVP IS SMALL SCALE.

I remember looking up his builds when I first started playing the game in 2015/2016 (account says 16), but I quit like a day or two after. That reminds me that I lost all my old bookmarks of his guides.

Everything was dual wield with him, even mag characters. 2h for pvp only.

Deltia was definitely a major contributor to the early days of the game, and those stating he didn't know what he was talking about when it came to builds are not entirely off base... but you have to consider that state of the game at the time as well. I've been here since beta and the fact he even managed to get anything put together that was as effective as he made it, was rather remarkable.

He also had a sense of humour which was often absent from other places trying to do the same. My time in Entropy Rising comes to mind, with people like Atropos (founder of now defunct Tamriel Foundry) who was the other type of contributor, mainly so dead serious about themselves as to suck all the joy out of the game.

Last thing anyone could say about Deltia is that he was not fun.
