Should purchased/earned cosmetics be viewable during character creation?

So, do you think previously earned/purchased cosmetics should be viewable when creating a character?

I think they should and I’m shocked it’s not a thing. It would be nice when planning a character to be able to use some of the content I have unlocked in game. Sure, I can create the character then try that new hair but I would like the option to view in during character creation to best create my look into that style.

I’m keeping picks simple as numerous poles are being called biased for wording.

Yes, This would be great. I would also love to be able to cycle though a few lighting options during character creation.

That would be *very* helpful if you're creating a character based on things you've collected!

I cannot imagine any reason to say no to this.
PC NA, CP2500+. Character creation is the true endgame.

When they first added hairs to the Crown Store I thought this was how it would work. I was so confused when I was looking for the new hair in the character creator only to not find it there.

Possible performance implications? Just yet more data to be loaded in before you've even logged into the game. Plus it's very likely to be quite involved programming-wise, given that a lot of people play on different servers and will have made different purchases/progress on each one, quite apart from separating out those things which are character-specific and not server or account-wide.

I personally have no interest in it, but have no objection to it for those that want it provided it will not impact on performance or developer time. I suspect it would do both.

Heck yeah. Some outfits/armors just have a super different shape so it's hard to find a middle ground sometimes. When I changed my character's body shape recently, I did it based on the Thieve's Guild armor, which kind of makes you look thicc. I turned the waist down a bit, which looked better for my character, but now my character looks super thin with the Militant Ordinator armor lol

This would be helpful. I've sometimes made characters with the intention that they'll use unlocked cosmetics, or even base-game ones which aren't available by default on their race, and it would be helpful to be able to see how those will look when creating the character.

You're already logged into a server when you get to the character creation screen, that's how it determines (among other things) how many character slots you have available and whether you have Any Race in Any Alliance or the Imperial race, since those are also a server-specific purchase. The tech to hide options which aren't available to your character is already there as well, because the default options are similarly restricted. (In fact they're even more restricted in character creation, you can't create a breton woman with long dreadlocks for example, but if you've bought the hairstyle pack you can select that style after creation.)

It'd be nice if it's not a hassle to implement but I don't feel like it's of high importance in my opinion. Yes it would help but as long as I like the character made it will probably work out.

I would also like a universal height chart so that I know how tall a character needs to be compared to other races. XD

You can already do this while using an appearance change token, so there's no way it could cause significant issues being that it's already in game.

Sure, why not? It's not a big issue for me, I usually redo my characters over and over until I'm satisfied since they look a bit different in game than in character creation but it would be a nice addition to have.
