Do you respect bow users? (PvP)

Pew pew pew...

To be honest, there are different kind of bow users:

- There are players that slot a bow for the roll dodge passive (5%),

- There are players that slot a bow to use the vDSA proc (10%),

- There are players that slot a bow and are actually able to snipe you (0,1%),

- There are players that slot a bow and go pew pew bowtard on a wall with venemous smite. Their damage is below zero and when you only look in their direction they already die. They will always refuse to get off the wall to actually fight, they will make your faction lose a defensive siege and they will always keep on spamming low damage bow attacks on you. (84,9%).

Idk if I should or should not respect bow players, but usually they're just taking up a queue spot for other players.

Yes and no...

I can totally respect someone using a bow, using snipe and trying a gank build as long as they don't ruin otherwise fair fights.

However, I can't stand people who come across others fighting having fun and they start spamming their snipes on the lowest HP people just getting free kills and running off. Do that in a zerg please and don't ruin small-scale with your cowardice.

If I catch someone doing that - there will be no other priority in my life than to put them down. And believe that I will go out of my way to spawn camp you if you decide to repeatedly offend, send a hate tell or tbag.

I find it an odd choice, templars are useless if they don't use jabs so I don't know what you expect. On the other hand, crimson + thew of harbinger wardens that hold block permanently, vampires that use vh staff then turn into mist form are the worst in my opinion, they just kill anyone while they don't even need to spam a skill.

edit: my 'no' is purely for snipe desync users, other bow users ofc huge respect is not easy to use at all

Yes

It depends. I use the bow as backhand for knockback and fast run, which gives me the chance to escape every fight when ganking is not succesfull. Snipe users is something i dont understand.

I think the polls are bugged..... I have played a main hand bow char on all chars... even played main hand bow on magnecro for a test.... I do not use snipe at all and I also do not use toxic barrage..... personally feels cheesy for me to use... can live with toxic because it's easy to break the channel but snipe is bugged beyond believe.... funny thing is how I am always told that the bow is carrying me and that I need to learn to play the game because I am a noob who is crutching on the op bow..... I have gotten these whispers on every class.... wether it was a 1v1 or 1v5.... does not matter I always get the op bow whispers... and yes even on the magicka necromancer.... in my experience a lot of players in this game expect you to fight the way they do.... so for example on warden it's sub assault d-swing dawnbreaker into executioner.... and if you are not doing that you are a noob and getting carried by x weapon and should learn to play the game aka use a 2 handed melee build.... this has lead to me not using my archer characters a lot anymore sadly.

I tolerate them as much as I tolerate the 2H/1H&S meta. They're annoying but its just another appropriate weapon choice as mine. You can't disrespect them unless they're exploiting.

I could respect if Snipe skill and its morphs didn't have such an enormous range. This way they (not generally speaking, just as in most of the ones I see) would need to do something other than pew-pew players and cowardly hide and flee when doors are breached.

You should also ask whether the people who vote themselves are bow users. (I guess you're talking about double bow...?)

I have a bow-bow PvP toon and that toon is insanely good. I don't respect myself with cheesy boring build...

A few of my alts are front bar 2H, back bar bow. They mainly use 2H, and only occasionally use bow. I don't play as sneaky gankers. Even my stamblade is melee.

Yes, but it highly depends on the way they play.
If they just spam one button (e.g. Snipe), they are bowt*rds. If they actually make use of all the potential the bow has the offer, I respect them.

Or do they actually engage in the fight and have some skill beyond their gearset cheese?

If there is nothing wrong with one bomber killing 10 people on resources in a split second, with no time to react, then there is nothing wrong with one bowman too... even if he/she manages to gank-kill one player...

^ But that happens very rarely today. People nowadays have so much health & resistances...

Here. Fixed it.

While the DC rally point in the Memorial district is definitely the worst (with often 30 smurfs camping there), I would like to mention EP as well. The Arena, Memorial and Temple district almost always guarantee a big pack of reds standing on top of their rally point. Not sure about AD because I'm usually on an AD alt in the IC, but since most of AD's rally points are away from the bussy spots I don't really think they're used as camping points.
