I use a keyboard and mouse. I bought a game controller years ago for a different game, but couldn't get the hang of using it. (As you may have guessed, I've never been a console gamer-- at least, nothing newer than the Nintendo NES.)

I used own Xbox. This was the 1st generation I didn't buy. I play mmos on the pc and have since 2007 but for some reason started eso on the Xbox. Probably why I still use a controller today.

Even in pc games like The Division I prefer controller but I don't do much competing pvp stuff.

I started on XBOX in 2015, quit for a while midway through 2018, and started over on PC about 6months ago. I tried KM up until about CP160 and had to switch back to controller. I know I'd like it better in the long run, but I can't do it. My brain knows what I need to do but my fingers can't do it with KM. This is the only game I still use a controller for.

Controller mostly bc I'm a console gamer and used to it (I don't play ESO on console tho bc it doesn't have as many features as PC).

KM for chat, menus, and other stuff like that.

I use a keyboard and mouse for 90% of most content. However if I want to do writs and collect maps, I'll use a controller.

I use a xbox 360 controller for gaming. It's more comfortable and able to maintain a better posture without getting sore arms and fingers from dpsing.

I use ps4 controller on pc too. I'm used to it. I can play pve questing on mouse and keyboard on pc, but alas, i only like pvp and i can't for the life of me understand how pvp is possible on k+m. I mean, how the f do you move, move cam and use skills in there all at once. I only have 2 hands. I think it would require 3 hands. Controller is just more functional for me.

I didn't really choose. When I got ESO the PC version was the only one available and I didn't have a controller which could easily connect to the PC. But I've used both methods for years and it's rare that I have enough of a preference to change it, I usually just use whichever the game or machine defaults to.

I often change keybindings on PC though, and ESO is no exception. I don't understand how even right-handed people can use WASD and the number keys at the same time with one hand. But I'm left-handed so my right hand is on the keyboard which makes it even more awkward. I put all the combat related stuff on the number pad, and then use my thumb on the arrow keys to move.

I use BOTH... since my first gaming experiences came on the Playstation... I cannot game without a controller and using KB/M for gameplay just feels wrong to me. However, with ESO, the gamepad menuing sucks bigtime... so I have KB/M handy for menus, chat, using Addons (Alphagear, etc)... and using controller for combat and movement.

Logi G15 (original, and very old now - don't know what I'll do if it dies) and Logi 3 button mouse. Never owned a console, not very coordinated so doubt a controller would work for me at all, and that's why I don't have a "gaming" mouse.

I've been playing with keyboard and mouse for far too long. its what i'm used to. heck, if i had an option i would play my console games with keyboard and mouse as well, but alas - controllers are my only option if I don't want to spend a cost of another console to get a keyboard emulator that may or may not work with every game anyways.

that is not to say that one is definitely better then the other (at least for MMO's, no one ever will convince me that controllers are better then mouse turning and aiming for shooters), especially if rebinding keybinds is available. I'm just more used to kb + mouse, so I find it more comfortable and intuitive.

Razer Naga and Tartarus2, love the extra buttons. I have some issues with my hands, so being able to completely customise all the keys and be able to rest my fingers on a comfy position is essential.

This setup is what I am planning on getting at some point, just can’t use my keyboard and mouse but then again I’m a ex-console player left console a year ago and eso for some months, decided it was about time I build a gaming pc but I just can’t stop using the elite series 2 controller even remapped some of the buttons to make it feel more natural button press, still game on the tv too best of both worlds

Hated starting from scratch but absolutely love the customisation of pc

+1 for Razer Naga (trinity) and Tartarus Pro. I recently upgraded to the Pro, it's nice. I have been using a lefthand mini keyboard since the Belkin Nostromo N52 since about 2004.

Once I started playing shooters on PC, I never went back to a controller. Mouse + Keyboard is objectively a better interface. More buttons, more customization, wildly better control over view/camera. Only real downside is you need some sort of surface so hard to play from your couch. I have occasionally used an xbox controller on a few aborted attempts for Master Angler. I also use a controller for certain 3rd person action games with limited controls but lots of platforming (Star Wars: Force Awakens is the last I can think of). Shooters are more accurate with M+K and ESO requires way too many buttons for a controller IMO.
