Expert on Blastbones? I could use your advice.

So I made my necro a tank. A thews tank to be specific. Fun in concept but boring as hell to actually play.

Sooo I was thinking of making a necromancer almost entirely built around blastbones.

What are the best or most unique sets you can think of to use with blastbones?

Since it is a pet are there any other guild, weapon, or world abilities that effect it that I might not think of?

Is blastbones effected by stats and sets the same way as any other ability or set? Like Malacath's Band of Brutality or Major Sorcery?

Any other nuggets of advice would be nice too.

Edit. Please only leave advice you are 100% sure of. Blastbones seems like one of those abilities theory crafting alone would be unreliable for.

Blighted Blastbones scales with stamina and weapon damage, magica morph - with magica and spell damage. Major Sorcery gives you just more spell damage, Blastbones scale with that.

I am also sure that it does scale with Malacath, but you can test it for sure.

How do you want to build a necro around Blastbonbes almost entirely?

Sets I'm thinking of using on my necromancer.

That set in the pts that increases pet damage by 16%
Malacath's band of brutality - increases damage by 25%
Affliction- assuming it works on blastbones it would make the defile morph of it do extra disease damage and apply minor defile in addition to the major defile. From the description of Blighted Blastbones I gather that it does direct aoe damage. I'd be able to apply both defiles and do some decent aoe damage in pvp.

This should allow me to do 6843 instant aoe direct damage+both defiles. That number is calculated without taking into consideration any other stats so it's likely to be much higher.

Blastbones cant trigger proc sets like affliction because its a summon it doesnt technically count as you doing the damage

I know because iv tested it with monster sets like sellstrix and stormfist velidreth and mechanical acuity blastbones doesnt trigger them

Idk if sorc summons can trigger proc sets i dont play those but blastbones maybe in other light armor procs set have a possiblity to do it i havnt tested them all but iv tested enough to give me the impression zos doesnt want things to trigger off blastbones

Far as your other mention of Unleashed Ritualist Set safe bet blastbones will work with that since it is a summon/pet it inherits your stats/CP so you should least get the 16% damage boost

Far as an actual blastbone specfic build id look for something to increase the damage of blastbones specfically for your 2nd set

True-Sworn Fury Set (2 items) Adds 687 Spell Critical

(3 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage

(4 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka

(5 items) Adds 708 Spell Critical and increases your Critical Damage by 4%. This bonus doubles to 1416 Spell Critical and 8% increased Critical Damage when you are under 75% Health. This bonus quadruples to 2832 Spell Critical and 16% increased Critical Damage when you are under 50% Health.

Id look into that set also blastbones ability to crit seems to be tied to your own crit chance a bit it does seem to benefit from critical damage though idk how the reaction of you getting the effects as a temp proc buff will affect blastbones if at all

Damn. That woulda been sick for pvp. Timing a Blighted Blastbones with a Nightblade's Manifestation of Terror and a group's ulti-dump...oh well.

Not sure if Necro summons count as pets technically.
