Actually on Blackreach, it is pretty common to see the gates of one faction or another open for hours on end leaving the skyshards accessible... except during MYM. You just need to figure out if your faction is the night/day/morning capper.Edited by Kwoung on February 5, 2021 6:13AM0 -

✭✭Last 3 characters I purchased the skyshards in all of PVP land, just to get a jump start on skill points to level all skill lines up. Plus, when I go to PVP areas it’s to PVP and not chase and hunt skyshards. The extra skill points here help a lot when I start to put points into the crafting lines.
Also, the psjic skill line, not doing that quest line again after doing it 15x before.
Same goes for mages guild. Honestly if console had an add-on, I probably would not do it for mages guild but it’s a pain on console to do.
When we ever get more than 18 characters, I would probably level them the same way as above.
Hope they add Excavation to the store because I am not grinding that one anymore either. Heavy sack should also glow too with the Keen Eye: Treasure Chests.
For the love of god add quick chat options for chest and heavy sack so I don’t have to stop and type it out on console.

I've never used them either - they're definitely not for me. I have seen people on the forum complain about the grind, however, so I guess it suits those people and, from ZOS's perspective, keeps them playing. The high price is justified considering players like this are paying not to play.
The grind I've seen most complained about is the Mages Guild lorebooks. They should sell the full set of those for, like, 100k crowns.0
