Please Reintroduce Trueflame Into the Game Using the Antiquities System.

I would like to start a petition, as it were, to reintroduce the legendary blade Trueflame back into Elder Scrolls Online.

I played in all of the closed betas, and the open betas, and subbed at launch, and I remember a time when fishing could reward you with a legendary sword called Trueflame. Those of you who are not familiar with the lore, Trueflame was the blade of the Nerevarine, used in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. You can read more about it in this wiki article.

However, back at the launch of Elder Scrolls Online, you could find this reward from fishing, though it was EXTREMELY rare, and I only knew of one person who had it, and I did not know them myself, I only heard about them and saw images. Recently, in a gaming Discord, I was reminded of Trueflame by another member, and the idea occurred to me that now is the perfect time to bring this Legendary Sword back into the game!

Using the Antiquities System, you could set this as Mythic Item, with five or six leads to find all over Tamriel, starting in Vvardenfell. The following are just suggestions on where to find the leads, you'll note that I've kept them all in and around Morrowind, Skyrim, and Black Marsh.

Blade - Vvardenfell World Bosses
Hilt - Stonefalls Public Dungeon Bosses
Handle - Eastmarch Delve Monsters
Jewel in the Hilt - Deshaan, inside a bag in someone's house
Pommel - Shadowfen Fishing Nodes

This would be a fun item to look for using the Antiquities system, and it would give us a mythic one handed weapon that was not only powerful, but unique as well.

Set bonuses could be something like...

(1 Item) Increases Flame Enchantment Damage by #%.
(1 Item) Light and Heavy Attacks do an extra #### Flame Damage.
(1 Item) #% Chance to cause Burning status effect.

And then, once Trueflame is added, we can talk about Hopesfire, and then we'll have some real fun!

Thank you for your time, and reading!

Enclosed is a picture of Trueflame from ESO many years ago before it was removed.

Reading the title, I was wondering if it was a joke, as Trueflame was a PvP campaign.

But I'm actually 100% on board with mythic weapons.

Yeah, it was actually already in the game at launch. Most people don't remember. (It was also in the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. You had to assemble it as part of the main quest.)

Trueflame and Hopesfire are a huge part of the TES Lore. And with the introduction of the Antiquities system, it's a perfect time to bring them back.

It would give people a 1H or 2H set without farming the awful RNG or Maelstrom or Vateshran.

I STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN AN INFERNO STAFF AFTER MONTHS OF GRINDING.

That's actually a good point. It would be an alternative to arena weapons. And with the ongoing hybridation of weapons, it could be a viable alternative for mag DDs.

And I in fact never heard of it before. I started playing when the game went buy to play in 2015 with Tamriel Unlimited. I never went far in Morrowind, I got it for free but it didn't age that well and I didn't really get invested.

If you'd like to read more about them I can highly suggest it. The Lore in the Elder Scrolls universe is rich and deep.

Technically, Almalexia should still have Hopesfire. So I don't know about that one.

This. A similar sword would work, but Trueflame is Almalexia's sword. It wouldn't make sense lore-wise.

It is true that Almalexia possess the blade of Trueflame in TES3: Morrowind, but that's 800 years after ESO.

After Nerevar died, who knows what happened to it? The rest of the pieces are missing in TES3, too.

A lot can happen in 800 years. (Keep in mind, Trueflame was already available in ESO.)

Almalexia however, still posses Hopesfire, and wears it on her body in TES3. You have to kill her to get it.

That's one thing I miss in ESO: chasing unique weapons. In Everquest my bank was full of them. 🪓🗡⚔🏹

    Hell yea mythic weapons!!

Add mythic helmets as well not sure effects but maybe an overland boss like set make its special effect that it can activate any 2pc shoulder equipped with it and have a different effect of its own.

While we're at it bring in the dusk and dawn fang maybe 1pc be deals x flame damage every 10 secs changes to frost damage and back to flame every kill increases the fire and frost damage stacking x amount of times and have the stacks persist like stranglers only less of a headache.

I rather not have Trueflame itself. A similar weapon, sure, but not the real weapon itself. Mostly due to lore reasons.
