What's point of T-bagging players?

And how do you know if another player you randomly meet has survived abuse or not?

I don't. That's why I prefer other alternatives, like bowing or kneelpraying.
I also frequently whisper people to compliment them. I once told a ganker he was unlucky because he tried to gank me in the sewers but he didn't manage to instantly kill me and 2 allies eventually came, allowing me to kill him. We had a nice chat after that. T-bagging is just not something I would do if it could offend someone, the same way I would only do sexist or racist jokes to a female or black friend of mine who know I don't think what I say.

But I also don't think that other people shouldn't be free to t-bag random people.

I'm sure there are people with very strong arachnophobia who hate the relevant fighters guild skill. It's up to every individual how careful they want to be with how other players can react to their actions. We can all have our own standards, we shouldn't enforce them on others. If people have a phobia or trauma, they don't expect the whole world to protect them from that, they have to tekl their friends about it so they can be careful. It's up to them to weigh the risk when they interact online.

They should just make an interactive emote that turns corpses on the ground into tied-up garbage bags. That way people who like to taunt in pvp can have a way to call someone trash without people getting up in arms over a maneuver that some see as sexual. Nothing offensive about sweeping up your opponents dead body and stuffing it in a hefty bag to reduce litter and keep the streets of tamriel clean.

While I agree that you can't avoid every single person's traumas or phobias there are rules on which behaviour is considered decent or not, or friendly or not. I just choose to treat strangers friendly. Because - why would I do otherwise? What would I get from it? Nothing, really.
