On the contrary. I play ESO precisely because it lets me exercise my imagination with designing unique characters and playing them through their own stories. That goal is directly impeded by having to deal with other humans ruining my experience. To be honest, I'd prefer it if this was an offline single-player game, but no other title offers the same scope and scale to play in that ESO does, so here I am.1 -

The overland zones aren't even designed to generate good PVP fights.
I mean, I like PVP.
But I like PVPing against players who want to PVP (or at least players who willingly queued up for a PvPvE zone knowing they'll face the risk of PVP).
That's a better all-around experience for everyone.
(Also, the only time I see PVE-oriented players asking for this sort of thing is Extreme Justice System Paladins who think its immersive that they should be able to help the guards kill thieves and assassins. To me, that indicates that this sort of request has more to do with the desire to stalk, hunt, annoy, and cause chaos for other players than it does "Oh, I just want to be able to enjoy PVP everywhere!")2 -

✭On the contrary, I don't hate PVP or most PVP players. I just did not sign up to play ESO on a PVP server. Drastically change what I'm paying for and I move on.
