So where is the pvp content in the new chapter?

When the whole chapter thing started zos stated that chapters will always include new content for all types of players... for example questerd, pvp, end game pve.
so with the new chapter
questers gets a whole new story and zone alongside new companions
end game pve gets a new trial
and pvp? did n miss it?
and just incase someone asks what the content for pvp in previous chapters where:
morrowind-bgs and new class
summerset-jewelry craft allowing new set combos and new combat skill line
elsweyr-new class and pvp hammer that spawns
greymoore- mythic items and new siege weapons
.... and also before someone asks zos stated on live stream companions won't be ussable in pvp.... so once again where is the pvp content this time... we don't get a lot but at least we used to get something.

Sadly pvp is not profitable unless it is P2W.

Lets hope that ZoS will not forget that PvP saved the game when there were no new content for more than an year after launch and all the end game was PvP.

zos can easily make pvp more profitable without making it p2w.... and in any case most pvp players spend a lot of money on this game.... costumes weapon styles mounts skins etc.... most pvp players gets the latest chapter for jewelry crafting or new skill line siege weapons mythics etc.... if a dungeon dlc has a good pvp set in it a lot of pvp players will get the dlc to get the armor or they already have eso plus for craft bag with a lot of papers have.... maybe not know because I know some who dropped plus due to zos giving pvp the big middle finger.... honestly a lot of pvp players spent as much and in some cases even more than the average casual player zos seems to cater to these days.... I hate the excuse of pvp not bringing in the cash because that is an absolute lie in my opinion

ah the pve player who just hates pvp..... show me where the ganker ganked you on the gank doll.... but nah honestly pvp does not even get a dedicated update unlike pve that has 4 with 3 of them having dedicated end game content and the 4th can sometimes have end game content aka an arena.... also last year's balance changes was putely focussed on pve and really screwed pvp over so how is pve holding pvp back exactly?

So I do not know how much each "server" can have but on a normal weekday without pvp event the PvP servers are all locked. Plus all the players who play battlegrounds and dual. Alot more than nobody if you ask me.

I agree that PvP and PvE should get different set updates however saying that PvP holds back PvE is just BS. I can just turn it around and say PvE is holding back PvP. Look at proc and dot sets. They overperforme heavily in PvP because they got buffed for PvE players. You destroy our meta just as we destroy yours.

ZOS could add overlandpvp. Imagine you sign a contract and get a license to kill other players who signed one too, and then go out of town to kill those players. If you're not in the mood for this you need to give your license back. And then we would have quests like: 1. quest - kill one player. 2. Kill 5 players. 3. Quest - kill 10 players ... till 50 or 100 kills. But if you give up you lose your progress.
Main char is a Strong Nord Man, Thief, Vampire, Healer, Mastercrafter. PC-EU since 2016.

They could but the thrill would only last a week then players would get tired of running around in a zone not designed for PvP looking for some other person also running around looking for a player to gank. PvP needs chokepoints and objectives. Zones outside of Cyrodiil do not have that.

funny how those are 1 not part of the chapter update but part of dungeon update and 2 affects end game pve and pve equaly yet end game pve will still get a new trial with the chapter. So no

They are unlikely to add any other "mixed" PvP & PvE content. Imperial City proved it. This type of content was not received well by the player-base. If it was good, then by now we would have a lot of content like that.
Also, seeing how it was a "dead" content, to the point that ZOS had to convert it into "free DLC", just to maybe create some player retention. Another thing is Midyear mayhem... at the start of the year... with 1 event ticket forcing people to go to IC... just to keep player retention in this zone...

Imagine this kind of stuff happening in any overland PvE zone. Even if it will be totally optional, other people will "flee" from this zone to avoid griefers and potential exploits.

I think you are mischaracterizing Imperial City. It used to be a great place to play. It is a unique zone where dying has consequences. Imperial City before some changes was really popular and huge three faction fights happened pretty much nightly.
The reason we are not likely to see new PvP zones is the PvP population is already thin and new content would spread the population even thinner.
PvE does need new content to thrive. PvP only needs an occasional change in dynamics to keep players interested. What is hindering both Imperial City and Cyrodiil is performance issues. If the game play were smooth in those areas the player population would increase.

I don't know the reasons why the Imperial City DLC was made available for free, but I suspect it may have had more to do with its age (it was the first DLC ever released) and the fact that many players have complained about events which require owning a DLC in order to earn tickets. There are two separate events which involve the Imperial City-- Midyear Mayhem, which is set in both Cyrodiil (which is part of the base game) and the Imperial City (which is a DLC); and the Imperial City celebration-- and I believe that Midyear Mayhem has been held twice a year for the last few years. That means there are three events per year in which players need to have access to the Imperial City DLC in order to collect some or all of the tickets. It's just makes sense, in the interest of customer relations, to make the Imperial City DLC available for free to any players who can't already access it. The fact that it's a PvP zone is definitely a plus, since PvP seems to be very popular among a large number of MMO players, so making the Imperial City DLC free for new players-- or existing players who never purchase it before-- is a nice gesture.

I am a PvPer and according to me the profit from PvE and PvP cannot be compared. PvE will bring way more income than PvP and the feedback from PvE community will be always more positive than the feedback from the PvP community, no matter how well balanced is the game.

I am sure that all this was analyzed by the leading people in Zenimax and they have a clear idea what is more profitable.

PvP players have enough, remember the first DLC was PvP related, they have Cyrodiil wasted on them as it would of made a great PvE zone, they got Battlegrounds and above that it is bad enough they can duel eachother in the PvE zones, I have been constantly harassed by PvP players who have kept challenging me to duel them over and over again and when they find out I have auto-decline on they call me a coward in zone chat for not dueling them even though I am a PvE player.

Have you ever tried talking to a PvP player? You would discover they are people as well and most players do both PvP and PvE.

I wonder why so many people are hate driven against PvP, in my opinion it is just childish.

Honestly PvP gets almost nothing and people still whine that PvP gets too much and ZOS should focus more PvE.

I think a lot of players who dislike PvP are just afraid of being griefed by other players. It doesn't matter what percentage of PvPers are griefers and what percentage are not, because the ones who are end up making such a strong impression that it creates the false conception that most PvPers are like that.

Personally, I'm not terribly fond of PvP, because I'd rather play cooperatively with other players (when I'm not playing solo) than play competitively against them. But I always enjoy the Midyear Mayhem and Imperial City events a great deal, to the extent that I'll even skip doing my daily crafting writs for a few days in a row just so I can spend all of my time in the event.

    Nothing.

They can't even be bothered updating the special weapon to something new.

When they introduced Volundrung, I thought we'd get new ones every like 3/6 months until we had enough that they were on constant rotation.

The truth is that PvP does not need any content.

there's only so many ways players can bash the heads of other players in.
it doesn't require story, nor zone, nor whatever. It always stays fresh because of it's inherent unpredictable nature.

PvE not only needs content, but also represent the overwhelming majority of players.
So, the new content made is for PvE, and that's quite normal.

I'm pretty sure, like me, they're kinda stumped as to what kind of content to make other than cosmetics and Battleground maps.

I'm also pretty sure they're wary of releasing new content for a part of the game that remains to be so unstable.

This would be my guess. Until they get a handle on the performance issues related to all the number-crunching the servers must do in PvP zones, and figure out a way to "fix" the things that PvP players love to use which make the number-crunching necessary in the first place without upsetting all of the PvP players, the idea of adding more PvP zones and potentially just making the mess even hotter and bigger is kind of wacko.
