I changed house to display luxury furniture.
    PC EU, @Enemoriana, Forsaken Stronghold
    (not primary)

Mournoth Keep was too small, both in limit and place, so I moved it to Forsaken Stronghold.
    • All furniture is in yard, including place behind house.
    • There are items, that are not luxury, but looks similar. They are marked with jester banners.
    • It has Decorator default, so you can take a closer look, but, please, return items in their places. If you broke something, just write me, I'll fix.
    • If you see some item is missing or know some more similar items, write me, and I'll add it.

I know this is missing at the moment
    luxury:
    Clockwork Switch, Rotary
    Changing Room, Curtained
similar (not planning to add, at least until somebody will gift - these are crown items):

    Carcass, Fresh Goose
    Imperial Statue, Warrior

Why does this comment get made verbatim so often? Like there's a wide variety of items that will be considered show pieces of various styles of homes that people can create, or will be integral to getting a certain look. If you're a guild master making a functional guild hall, where your tables are the main draw, these banners may well be a luxury item designed to help showcase the various sections of your home. The fighter's guild banner for example can be used to mark the entrance to your training dummies or duel arena.

It can't and shouldn't be all golden lamps and lush beds. I'm glad the luxury vendor is the way that it is, even on weeks that don't interest me, because it's helped me really nail the look of a variety of different homes

Because of the word luxury, exactly as implied by the snarky quotation marks!

I don't think many would argue that the items on offer are worthless and of no use to anyone anywhere ever at all... but how are boring wooden signs and perfectly average cloth banners "luxury" items in any way? They're fine, sure. But they're the sort of things that, quite frankly, just aren't exciting at all. The only notable things about this week's items (and 90+% of the "luxury" furnishings) is their artificial scarcity. These seem like the sort of things that should be available all the time.

Luxury furnishings should be things that are... well, I don't know... exotic? Interesting? Highly desirable? You know, luxurious in some way?

A few weeks back, Mr Luxury Man sold a spool of thread, some bolts of folded cloth, and baskets or something. The loom and stuff were neat! Some of the things he brings are definitely cool, and befit the "luxury" title. But a lot of it feels like getting socks for Christmas; and not even new ones, or nice ones -- socks you already own, and don't use as is.

They are luxury items because they make excellent showcase pieces, like many of the other luxury items. Some of them are just items they are keeping rare like the spool of thread, but even that is excellent clutter for the most definitely luxurious brass spinning wheel and Loom.

Most of the items ARE highly desirable for the type of home that would need them. They elevate the spaces that they are designed for

I waited a long time for signs so please speak for yourselves 😂 It's "luxury" because there isn't another way to obtain them...

There are different kinds of items every week to suit every style and use. Why complain?

They really should have just named him "Themed Furniture Vendor", to cut off all these "but, but, but! Luxury!" complaints.

I think part of the problem is the Luxury Vendor is not only selling luxury items but utilitarian items that have frequent common uses such as signs do. I also believe it ties into ZOS's love of LTO's which are largely ineffective when used with in game currencies. Utilitarian items such as signs should be available from regular or achievement vendors. This would result in the items being a better gold sink than hoping people decide to make large purchases once a year.

I figured it out! He's not a "Luxury Furniture" Vendor, he's a Luxury "Furniture Vendor"!

Much better than those plain-old everyday Furniture Vendors.

Yup. So tiring seeing the comments about "luxury" whenever the items are not something that person deem as luxury.

Like a commenter said above, it's luxury because you can't find these furnishings anywhere else. These signs are great for making more lively doors/walls!
