One of the quests from the female NPC involves going to a delve that's a pain to get to, so if I get that one I just abandon it then talk to her again til I get a different one.
They still may involve being killed by someone farming PVE players

Actually, yes! Get in a PVP group, have someone share with you a PVE quest. They do the PVE quest and you get credit for what they do while you kill other players that get in your way!

Oh... nevermind! *skitters away*
For cyro, scout quests are the best. You can "teleport " back to base by dividing, suicidal teleportation is the best.

Bruma has a quest where you never have to leave the building (close three portals). It's really rare to have an enemy player interfere with that.
The city deep in DC territory has one easy quest (kill 4 nearby atronachs).
The city deep in EP territory doesn't have anything quite that simple, but there still are easy quests that you're unlikely to get enemy player interference with.

That's still someone in the group being required to PVE for the PVE event though...
What platform and server are you on? I’d be happy to help you get geared up and join you in Cyrodiil to help you get comfortable and give you some tips. I think you’re missing out on a lot of fun in PVP. Don’t let a few bad apples spoil the content. Get better and exact your revenge! 😛

I'm Xbox NA!
A general update, also, the Scouting missions are actually kind of fun. I put some of my low characters in the Under 50 area because I took a wild guess it would be less stressful. I didn't encounter anyone on my NB until EP started taking over, then I was having issues since my NB is purely a thief build and extremely squishy, so I switched to my DK so I could be under EP when they were winning. I don't think it was really a super 100IQ strategy but I managed to get 5 tickets by doing scouting before the 1am reset, then I did another and picked up my IC ticket from the noble district on my DK. Day one I've got my first pet fragment!
Even though there were high leveled players out very much out for blood when I was in IC, I somehow avoided being seen, even paused to fish at one point. Not being chased down and harassed like my first experience made it feel less intense, I think. I can say day one was peaceful. I haven't tried taking my two higher leveled characters in yet, but for the sake of doing the tickets I think it's going well enough with a low-leveled character. We'll have to see. I also enjoyed my time in Cyrodill a lot more that I expected I would, probably because riding through the countryside minding my own business is sort of the definition of relaxing.

No, it kind of defeats the purpose of having pvp events.
SeaGtGruff wrote: »For Cyrodiil tickets, scouting missions can be a way to avoid PvP if you're willing to sneak slowly abd carefully across Cyrodiil to reach your assignment. Otherwise you can try doing a city quest, but you can't always avoid PvP that way
I used to do that when I first started but (playing on PC EU) I've found it's not really necessary.
At first I would always make sure to wear dull colours to camouflage my character and would go around the very edges of each area, staying as far away from roads as I could, sneaking any time I thought I might be exposed. I'd carefully watch gate houses to make sure no one was around before sneaking in and out the other side. Then I'd sneak all the way back after I'd finished.
After a while though I realised I wasn't really avoiding anyone because I never saw anyone. Away from the main roads or areas currently under attack it's rare to even see another player, and if you do there's a chance they're also trying to do a quest and will avoid you too.
Now I just ride as straight as I can to my destination. I still change my clothes, hair and mount but more for immersion than practicality and I stay off the roads but they're usually not going straight anyway (which is odd now I think about it, given the Imperials are based on Romans and they're famous for making their roads as straight as possible).
It has the same effect - you're away from the action and therefore unlikely to run into other players, but it's a lot faster.
