New Event pet confussion

I'm a little confused over the whole pet fragment award thing, i get that you make the pet out of three fragments and then collect another three seperate fragments over the 3 events which make up this quarter to get a skin but what happens if i dont want todo this quarters events because i think the skins abit lame can i still get the other awards from their quartly events like the mount and house or am i forced to do this quarters event? what im saying is are they all connected or are they 4 seperate events that you have to make a new pet from scratch each time?

    I assume it works like the indrik and converting it to the skin makes you lose the pet and you have to gather fragments again.

    I confess I didn't check the Fragments section of the collectibles, but there should be separate fragments for each "evolution", in which case, you just need to buy the ones that apply to the evolution you want.

    Like with the Indrik, you didn't have to worry about berries for any Indrik you didn't want.

    I never bothered with the Indrik but i think i get it now thanks ,sounds like they are 4 seperate things and are not connected over the course of the year which is great i can spend tickits on motif pages instead of the skin.

    I got the pet today.. now it will take this event and 2 more to get a skin.. after that, as far as I know, i have to farm it again

    The base fragments for the pet are available during every event this year.
    The morphs are only available during 1 quarter.

    So yes, you can skip all the Q1 events if you don't want the skin and just collect the base fragments and the new morph items during later quarters.

    I'd really like to see what all of them look like evolved so I can decide which one I want on which account - if any. I'm not planning on doing as much as I did with the indriks. Not sure yet if I want a floaty pet - usually I have a hard time with anything flying around me....

    Only the base is a pet. The first morph is a skin, the second morph a mount and the third morph a house.

    It seems the whole red Deamon theme is going with this years story arc which is fair enough but dosnt hold any interest with me and after last years indrik which just went on for ever it's a bit of a dissapointment but atleast i can spend the tickits on motifs and the push to grind 25 odd tickits a time is not there which is also a plus.

    Nice that getting the base form this time around isn't that tedious. 15 tickets is far more managable than 40 and thanks to that you can buy other things from the impressario. Or take an event break from time to time.

    The pet is a nice decoration for any mage-type home. Not in a hurry to exchange it for a skin, I rather get the pugs during MYM.

    The whole concept is refreshingly weird, though :)

    I'm wondering now if you must evolve into the other two options before you're enabled to get the house. Do we know anything about that - if it's a "must do the set route" - pet, then must morph to personality, then to mount, and finally the house?

    Sure, you get 39 tickets this event, that's enough to get the pet, first part of the skin, and 2 parts of the new pet. Other events will be similar, so at the end of the year you could easily have all morphs and another pet. It mainly becomes a problem when you want other stuff from the impresario as well (like the dogs or motifs) or when you skip some events.

    You just need the base pet (Unstable Morpholith) to morph into the other items. So if you want the eventual house, you just need the Morpholith first; it doesn't need to be morphed into anything else first. There should be plenty of Event Tickets to go around in order to get all the items.

    i have a feeling we will have to have a pet-- morph into skin
    then get the pet again--- morph into house
    then get the pet again--- morph into whatever

    over and over and over again just like the indriks

    Yeah, but it's only 15 tickets for pet and 10 tickets for morph, so it's so much better than 40 + 40 tickets system with indriks

    Is that a complaint? I mean, you can't compare that at all to the Indriki. There it was really over and over the same just in a different flavour, but now...?!

    The pet Unstable Morpholith is just like creating the Nascent Indrik. But instead of four feathers (each were 10 tickets), you just need 3 fragments (these are 5 tickets each: Deadlands Flint, Rune-Etched Striker, Smoldering Bloodgrass Tinder) to create it.

    Then for each upcoming morph of the pet (skin, personality, mount and then house) you need 3 fragments, just like how each evolved Indrik needed 4 berries. These will be: Rune-Scribed Daedra Hide, Rune-Scribed Daedra Sleeve, Rune-Scribed Daedra Veil. They will all still cost 10 tickets.

    So this year we are getting a set of themed rewards from events to match the year's Gates of Oblivion aaand all of the fragments are cheaper all together. A little more obtainable, a liiiittle less grind-y and more variances so hopefully most people will find at least one thing they are into and want to earn. Overall I think this is a great update and change.

    I just checked on the old indrik mounts their were about 5 of them ,cant belive people did that *** 5 times over for the lamest mount going so i agree this is a step up if not that big a step.
