What's DPS like on PTS?

Has anyone tested yet? Compared it to your current build on none PTS?

Is it a DPS loss, gain or the same?

Reports are coming in of massive dps losses across the board.

But reports are also stating that a bunch of stuff isn't working/applying correctly.

So, too early to know for sure how it'll all shake out.

EDIT: One of the most cited issues seems to be penetration not working.

Trial dummy is bugged on PTS (18000 resists after debuffs instead of before debuffs), but currently and it is impossible to properly test because you gain damage up till 1700 CP. It looks like power level at higher cps will stay around same, while everyone below 1700 CP gets major nerfs.

I had no issues at all on the PTS on my Mag Sorc last night. I was able to easily solo world bosses as I do now on live.

I hope that isn't the case since Console is capped on CP before 1700 currently. Out of the gates, the entire population of console players would be underpowered in comparison.

Capped CP on console? I am sitting at 1404 on Xbox right now. The visual and usage cap is 810 but you can continue earning CP past that, you just can't use it yet and other players cannot see it.

Currently everyone is capped at 810. But you still earn CP. The new system just removes that 810 cap allowing you to use your CP you have banked up to 3600.

I could swear that Console doesn't allow you to level up to 3600 currently. I am only in the upper 900's, but I recall hearing from guildies that they no longer earned CP levels around the 1,000+ range.

I don’t usually parse on PTS especially on first day since I heard it’s volatile week by week but servers were down so I went to see and I am down from 100-105k+ Magsorc live to consistently 70k on PTS. Am 1147 CP.

Usually I get around 79k as a bow/bow and after a few tests I ended up with the following with cp 960.

First test with some survivability I dropped down to 42k dps which is a massive loss to me.

Second test moving a few points about and such I ended up with 46k, and still had some survivability.

Final test with everything into damage and made of paper, I ended up with 49k dps, that is still a huge loss.

As some have said the trial dummy is possibly broken, but the way the new cp progression works removes choice, due to stars being locked behind things you don;t want/need.

Most people are seeing about 25% DPS loss, but it it appears that 15% of that is from the bugged resistance on the dummy. So estimating around 10% DPS loss with maxed out single target damage CP’s (480 in blue tree or 1440 total). However we also don’t know if everything is working correctly or what CP values will be adjusted.

79k on live currently, 56k on PTS on mDK. Cannot allocate more cp, template chars have only 810.

Part of me thinks that is way too high a number considering how long we have been capped at 810. I am all about being able to use points past 810, but I think they should have frontloaded the power increase to something a bit below that. I lot of people that have been playing for a LONG time are going to be jumping back on the grindwheel just for CP. Feels a bit like they are pulling the rug out from under us.

I'm on console and have about 1500 cp and still earning it.

Also we have consider that new system changes a lot, so it make some time to create new builds which can have more DPS. We can't expect that builds created around old system still will be best option in new one.

Yeh, I think it will take time for people to work out a meta to be able to compare to the current meta.

I only tested my heavy attack sorc so this might not be representative of the general meta.

    ~41k on a 6 mil @ 1500 CP with 27k health after adjustments, 6 light 1 heavy. ~43k @ 20k health, all CP into damage, all light.

This is about the same as what I do on live.

    682CP mnb on PC
    91k on live
    57k on pts.

But the dummy has full resistances.

Also, the cp gain on console is no different than PC. I am at 1360 cp on PS4 and gain cp every now and then.

Well, except proc. set tool tips are about 10% lower because so many percent gains from the cp system got converted into weapon/spell damage. Good news, as far as I am concerned.

I just confirmed with another PS4 player. 1200 is the cap. You do not gain any additional Champion Levels on PS4 after you reach 1200.

Oh really? So its possible to make an impressive spell/weapon damage stacking build and then throw on Major/Minor Brutality/Sorcery?

So damage numbers could actually be decent if you account for the 18.2k resist?
If I am not mistaken the you deal 36.4% more damage if you fully penetrate the 18.2k resist in PVE.

So parsing 70k on the PTS now will be around 90-95k without the 8.2k resist.

I was lacking 10k pen total and parsing 72k, putting me on 90k if I am on live. That's a 10% nerf (since I parse 100k~ on live)

PTS is currently weird, it feels like thief mundus is stronger (making khajits buffed that patch hehe), 7 light seems stronger for damage (since now the dmg passives scale from armor worn too). Overall the base bonuses from gear sets are slightly nerfed (diminishing returns of huge resource+weapon/spell dmg pools) proc sets nerfed (less CP buffs) and the individual buffs buffed (less diminishing returns) so the biggest damage buffs in groups we will see will come from optimization with different sets.
