Major Gallop applies when you are mounted (and was the part that lasted longer).
Major Expedition is the buff that applies when you are running.
It's not a complete reversal, but oh well....
Either way, it is worlds better than the situation on live today, where you need Assault rank 5. Doesn't this mean you will always have major gallop when mounted once you spend a few skill points? If so, this is way better that it ever was. Don't have to waste a skill slot to have major gallop.

If Major Gallop only applies when mounted for 10 minutes after capturing an objective, I'm much less happy. Like, sure, that makes it easier to get to my next objective after I win. What it doesn't do is help with getting to my first objective or getting to the next objective after I lose.

That's literally the only reason I'm logging on to the PTS tonight.

Why would anyone need an addon? They will have passive Major Gallop all the time with a single skill point into Assault > Continuous Attacks. Seems like an improvement to me.So now instead of using the FastRide addon, everyone will be using Dressing Room when they mount up to put on their Adept Rider outfit, and instead of getting stuck with one bad skill on your bar from accidental combat, you are stuck wearing a completely garbage set of gear and can't kill a fly. Yup, can't see this going wrong in any way.

Continuous is a passive that only works in Cyrodiil though, only after you've captured a resource or keep, so that particular change won't affect PVE at all. Keep that in mind.
To me, that says that the resource/keep capture requirement won't pertain to Major Gallop, only to the damage / regen portions of the passive.
