How do I get max AP boost on keep repairs?

Someone told me some things once a couple of years ago and I didn't have the foresight to actually write down notes. I've switched my sorc to magicka now and use spell power pot, I know that's one. I feel like there was something about Mending gear and some passives but there's so much out there and with different conditions for different uses that it's confusing. What would be the most efficient gear and skillset to wring the most AP out of fixing walls and doors?
