I can never remember.. if character A earns 5 rewards and opens 1, can I use other characters to open the rest, or do I have to wait?

Are you asking if they will both get a transmute geode? Because your rotw are account wide from your mail so any character can open them. However... once per day per account only will you get the garunteed gold geode.
