Sellistrix Monster set damage will proc this set.

Is that supposed to be?

Nope, procs are not supposed to proc other procs. Game is full of bugs 😏

    In a way it is.

The language of the set description is "when you deal damage" X happens. That contrasts with "when you deal damage with an ability" X happens.

The latter means that a set would not proc another set but the former allows it.

So is this why the heavy version of this set goes for moon money (vs. the heavy version of Bahraha's Curse)?

Well, that, and the heavy set is a very rare drop from the Thieves Guild heist dailies but is necessary for a complete stickerbook.

I didn't think proc sets were supposed to proc from other procs, but maybe I'm just remembering Sload's Semblance who used to be able to proc again from its own damage.

That's why I mentioned Bahraha's Curse as a comparison. Those were like 50k per piece vs. upwards of 1.2M for Svarra's. Is Svarra's Scales more rare than the off-weights of Bahraha's?

Sellistrix tooltip says "When you deal damage..."

Syvarra's tooltip says "When you deal damage..."

Any damage that triggered the Sellistrix will also trigger Syvarra's. You can test this by making a single light attack on a dummy. You will see at least three numbers at once (more if you triggered the poisoned status effect, a bleed, etc). There's no way you can test source of damage for proc condition when the cooldown on Sellistrix is one second less than the cooldown on Syvarra's. If it were reversed, then yes, you could prove that the final tick of Syvarra's might proc Sellistix, but not the other way around.

Sets are not meant to proc other sets as stated by the Devs. So for example even bloodspawn proc doesn't count towards Alessian health recovery.

Syvarra is merely a bug that is merrily abused much like multiple synergy activation in Cyrodiil or hurricane tripling the damage of the murder of crows from the Unfathomable Darkness set.

Duh, you did and I'm a silly person.

I dunno if the apparent bug is the reason for the high demand, but also Syvarra's is a lot more useful in the PVP proc meta than Bahraha's because it directly effects the enemy without giving them the chance to avoid Bahraha's descrecrated ground.

In heavy, yes. You can get several heavy Bahraha's pieces as rewards for doing the Thieves Guild quest line. But heavy Syvarra's is only a 1 in 72 chance reward for completing a perfect Heist, which can only be done once a day per character. The heist loot pool is diluted with heavy, medium, and light Bahraha's and Syvarra's, including jewels and weapons..... which aren't worth nearly as much as the heavy armor.

This is how it is supposed to work. So probably it is not intended.

The think that is curious though is Pale Order ring...
(1 item) Restore 18% of the damage you deal as Health, up to a maximum of 2750 Health per attack. You cannot be healed by anyone but yourself.

Does the healing this set give can "work" with dmg dealing sets ?

I mean technically it should not, but it is not like this set has a clear "proc" that something happens every 10 seconds or stuff like that. It is works more like a passive... idk...

Wrap your head around this one: cast Spiked Bone Shield, which returns 100% of the damage done to you back to the attacker for six seconds. The reflected incoming damage becomes outgoing damage, which procs the ring. And if you're wearing Thews and Radiant Bastion or Twin Sisters or another thorn set when casting it, just stand there and block and do no active damage, and heal for the maximum amount while your attacker suicides on you.
