Random veteran rewards should improve

Simple thing and has probably been suggested many times, but rewards for random veteran dungeons should be roughly 2x random normal in transmute stones and XP. There currently isn't much reason to do a random veteran since the rewards are the same as normal, and it would greatly help queue times for specific vet dungeons.

    Isn't doing them its own reward? And that's not accounting for all the drops being purple and monster helms that aren't present in normal, yeah?

    For monster helms and drops you don't do random because you are after specific targets.

    Transmutes is way out of whack though - to the point of people cancelling ESO+ to avoid DLC dungeons while farming crystals, running groups with one low level every time and selfish folks basically soloing the randoms and treating the other players as trash to ignore and run off ahead of.

    Far better to make transmutes less for normal than more for vet IMHO.

    Not really. If you're trying to farm a monster helm, you're never going to do it by using random vet dungeon. Rewards for doing vet dungeons regularly are pretty bad. Purple jewelry is probably the biggest one. Upgrading weapons and armor to purple is pretty much negligible. Pledges should give 1 key for normal, 2 for vet, and three for vet HM. Random vet dungeon should have some sort of bonus over random normal. They should either lower the reward for random normal dungeon from 10 crystals to 5 or bump up random vet to 15 or 20.

    I don’t like the idea of lowering normal rewards as it punishes new players who are trying to gear up their first sets.

    I do think random vets should offer higher rewards... with longer dungeons giving a higher reward than short ones to balance out the time investment.

    I do think speed runners should be incentivized out of random normals as it teaches new players that speed running is how to play.

    I just finished a week of running random normals to farm transmutes and the anti-social speed running started to make me really hate this game. Last night I queued for vet pledges and it was nice to have to work as a team.

    The rewards for doing Veteran Content definitely need to be increased, especially for DLC content. Outside of doing them initially for the monster helmet, this isn't much incentive to put yourself through that kind of hell again. I suppose you do get a motif. So there is that.

    IMHO Doubling the amount of transmute crystals for veteran runs would perhaps alleviate the skill gap in normal dungeon runs.

    Tripling it for Hard Mode would be even better. The gear and other drops could remain the same.

    I agree that rewards should be better from vet esp vet dlc, but that would cause more issues. Currently when I do vet dlc dungeons, pledges or random, 90% of the time I get a group who cant do hm and maybe 50% cant even complete the dungeon at all. Increasing the rewards would bring even more lowbies to vet dungeons. And I dont mean just their low cp. I see cp810s all the time who doesn't know mechs and pull 10k dps. I know that I'm supposed to play with friends or guildys if I want clears and etc but gf exsists for a reason and it's already backed up with leeches hoping to get free carry. Increasing rewards would make it impossible to use gf.
    I tried to use gf yesterday to do vet pledges for 6 keys but failed run after run. Had no issues with non dlc ones but none of the groups I got was able to do vRoM HM. I did it 3 times with my tank and group dps was 20k. Then I queued with my dps but got noob tanks. I don't mind carrying but I cant solo HM. So I had to settle with 1 key from there.

    MAYBE you get a motif. They're still not guaranteed unless you do vet dlc hard mode as far as I remember.

    Oh hello there @Ophelan. Didn't I just meet you in a random vet Castle Thorn the other day? Where we had that op 17k health 'tank'?:D Apologies if I'm confusing you with someone else.

    Either way, I do feel there should be bigger reward for vet, let alone vet dlc and/or HM stuff. I assume current logic is unlikely to change though because the moment harder content starts offering better reward, you get people complaining about being locked out of better rewards because they can't/don't want to do harder content. Still, in my opinion veteran randoms should have higher reward to incentivize people to run veteran dungeons. As it is, it's currently kind of punishing the players who actually prefer vet dungeons - in the time it takes to complete one average vet dungeon, you could've likely run at least two average normal dungeons on two characters and gotten twice the reward.

    While we're on it, I also feel DLC pledge should be rewarding more keys. Seriously, Fungal Grotto I HM and something like Frostvault HM aren't even in the same book...heck, same library...difficulty-wise.
