Root Skill Spam: ZOS... you going to address this?

I’m in PvP and all I do all day is stand there rooted in place infinitely. There’s an epidemic of spamming Bombard over and over again until people just give up and just stand there waiting to die.
It’s gotten so bad that people are forced to wear Snow Treaders or they lose mobility all together. Think about that, without one piece of gear, PvP is unplayable.

lucky_Sage✭✭✭✭✭Umm roots are not that good anymore that’s why most dks stopped slowing talons.
But there are abilities you can use to have snare/root immunity like race against time,forward momentum, reflective plate, shuffle, a morph of blur, ball of lighting, mist form every body has access to that buff but if it’s not in your kit then that’s on you.
With the constant need to roots that kept happening hurt classes that was a main part in the class play style like Magdk now most don’t slot when it use to be allDC PC NA

And you can roll dodge out of roots.
Two threads about this op, did someone kill you? It's so easy to counter: purge, roll dodge, rat, shuffle, mist form, forward momentum... If you can't do at least one of those things no amount of nerfs will help you unfortunately.4 -

No more than any other skill, in which case it should be a discussion about performance. If it was a discussion about break free, I would agree it can be worse than other inputs as well as cc immunity tacking. I was addressing the issue stated I.e immobolisations. ✭✭✭✭✭I would be in favor of a large nerf to Bombard (and this coming from a Bombard user).
The skill is straight-up overloaded - large cone, AoE CC, and high damage all from the same skill. The simplest fix would be to nerf the damage by like 75% and turn the skill into more of a pure CC rather than a CC and spammable combination.4 -

Grimlok_S✭✭✭✭✭Maybe the bombard spammers I come across aren't actually that braindead.. The ones I encounter generally have more of a kill plan than using the exact same ability over and over. Bombard seems to just be the setup.
Rat and sprinting into range usually pressures them into doing something else.
For those not in the know, you can still pivot while rooted. If you aren't holding WASD and aim/cast at a target you'll be able to turn in place. Helpful for regaining stam if you are stuck in place.

Oh, definitely. Unfortunately, I don't think anything in this game is balanced with open field GvG in mind.. I'm more thinking open world, if I can't make it to LOS after 2 pumps of RAT/Momentum I picked a bad fight or I'm being outplayed. Usually both.Light Attack Hero

I think you do not tell about root, but about ZERO speed bug abusing.
I see it too this weekends.
Some bad guys put 2 different slow effects that stuck and make your character immovable.
You can not move, you can not dodge.
Do not see it so hard abused before -2 -3seconds max, but yesterday i stand 20 seconds in it too, do not like such abusing.
But Sorcs abuse bug with not working target and there pets, for more than a year ? When you can ot tab and hit them, because target just do not work and hit not selected target ... .
So i do not thing any changes, untill people start write about it each post.
Like i did when my skill was broken for a year ... .
And i really will more simply put immun to this effect than will spend to much time to write about all bugs again, i am more pve player, so just do not care that much

You can make immovable potions. While you’ll never be able to make CC a completely non-existent thing you can certainly lower it dramatically.
As a Magplar main who doesn’t use Mist Form I should be the biggest CC target on the battlefield. The only time I get CC’d so heavily that I’m screwed is either when I’m facing off with so many people I was going to die anyway, or if someone attacks me out of stealth when I’m unprepared. Also, I was probably going to die anyway in that situation.

Its always been ridiculous. they have somewhat improved on things but its stupid how long certain roots, snares, and ccs have been broken. Like getting cc chained by a guard on a resource, that is ridiculous. Or the fact that immovables dont work, and never have.
Seriousley it says, become immune to knockback and disabling effects. Well I cant tell you how many times i hit an immov and still get CCd or stunned or snared or rooted. Its ridiculous.0
