Is this against TOS?

Hi,

I am moving to NA irl and I do not have the time to level characters from 0 like I did in EU or to grind gold because I am working

So is this acceptable to pay someone (who plays in both) for Skyreach in EU and receive the runs in NA? Or training gear?

I checked TOS but couldnt see anything about cross platform-in game gold payments

All it talks about that it is not allowed to pay irl money which I am not after

thats not against tos. buying a real account, or buying in game services/currency for real money is however. although im sure even if you did such things, it would be hard to prove, and unless someone reports you for it, you will likely get away.

though beware those things are against tos and not allowed.

buying in game services, for in game currency is not, and will probably never be against tos, no matter which platform/server its for

Paying someone in gold for services (like skyreach runs, weapons, crafting, dungeon runs) is not against ToS.

Paying someone in gold or real money to log onto your account and level up your character for you or buying a levelled up account will get you banned.

Weren't there people who shared an account with their family members, which was considered totally okay? I think I saw some people openly posting about their children having one character each on their parent's ESO account?

    No.

It's difficult (though, not completely impossible) to distinguish between different players using the same hardware.

However, it is still a violation of the TOS, and if it's brought to ZOS's attention, it can get you banned.

Strange. I'm quite sure I saw people posting about it here on the forums, moderators posting on the same thread, nothing happened and they're still active here. I guess they're just not strict if it's about children?

mmhmm. same with names. i had to rename a toon cuz it had the word sexpot in it. but names with fap/phap/any variation of that is just fine.

I'm quite sure that those are also against the TOS. It's just that nothing happens until someone reports it.

i know of alot of players that at times lets their kids play parts of the game , but myself i just got all 4 of my kids the game to do it for themselves not on mine lol

Forum moderation and game moderation are (to the best of my knowledge), different teams. As far as I know, ZOS is more concerned about accounts being sold, rather than a parent letting their child run around on their acconunt, and, yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if they choose to look the other way in that specific example.

The big thing that will get them to come down with the hammer seems to be reporting the wrong person on an account, or reporting that someone did something to your account.

It seems that forum moderation is far more strictly enforced that in game action. That's why we have dozens of forum moderators and zero to neglectible in game gamemasters.
I wish it would be the other way round.

i would say if you didn't start already character (too late for 100k daily reward) make one or even multiple, exiting from vivec room to thieves den will make enough gold to pay mount training as this will take you more time than leveling itself.
if you play from eu lag will not be that much. and probably will be possible also to play on eu from na, may be not end game content...

i think someone has reported transferring 100k gold on another new account has led to some temporary ban.

i don't think exchanging lockpick for 100k would be against tos, but also i don't think zos can offer you some scam protection.
and there is also as last resort exchanging crowns for gold(also read first how to do it).

and contacting support through ticket may be your best option to get proper info.

Ahh I see what you're saying, you think OP should just have whoever log into his account and grind for him but tell ZOS it's just "his family" on his account so he won't get caught account sharing? Where is that meme of the smiling guy pointing to his temples when you need it.

Nope, that's not what I said. I was not making any suggestions, just asking a question based on another comment that had been deleted by now.
