Curious of this - if more research has been done or what references there are of a similar group in the ancient past to this New Moon Cult.

Presumably this refers to the New Moon Cult adopting their prophecy about Kalgrontiid's ascension to become the 'Dark Aeon' that was detailed by the tapestries we find there.
