RolePlay QOL or chapter update

A thought occurred to me.

In this game there are casual player, RP players, end game raiders, PvPers, market manipulators and economy enthusiasts.

Now over the years either through QOL or chapter updates most of these play styles had something added for most of them but 1. I’ve noticed RP players haven’t had much added in the game to actually use for that particularly other than emotes.

My ideas were adding characters customization option or “RP mode” where you can hide your weapons without needing to unequip them, or ability to move or interact with others in more RP style than just trying to emote at each other in awkward positions.

What are y’all’s thoughts?

I - uh - would say no to The Elder Sims Online.

Besides, RP emotes are through descriptive text. Your toon is really only there on the screen for reference. The animated emotes aren’t really used by most RPers outside of general frame of reference. The descriptive text interactions are what make RP enjoyable and immersive.

Pretty much this. We have so many mementos and emotes, but when I RP I very rarely use them as it's in the text how you describe what happens. Why you might ask OP? Well what if your RP friends go afk to get something IRL or are not really paying attention to your character directly? They'll miss the emotes you have your character perform, which is why most only use them when the situation calls for them. Like Almalexia's Enchanted Lantern when someone casts magelight, or when you greet someone with a wave.

Also to put away your weapons just unequip them. That's what I do and since I have them locked they're always at the top of the inventory so re-equipping them is not that big of a deal.

There is the theory around that the addition of Housing killed/hurt RP in ESO because active RP communities went into their player homes to not be bothered by trolls anymore, while at the same time making it harder for new people to discover them, thus stunting the growth of these communities.
At this point we need to remember that the guild finder is a rather recent addition while Housing is quite ancient by now, so things were different back in the day.
So yeah, counting that, the RP community has received negative one updates so far and definitely deserves some love!

Oh and since we are talking about QOL for RP and lore, I'm gonna shamelessly add that ZOS should fix Bosmer stealth already. It's been years.

Edit: Felt like adding a line that made more clear what I was actually trying to say.

This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

There have been a ton of features added to the game for RPers. Just last patch they added pathable NPCs to houses. Who do you think that was for? There are definitely things ESO could do better for RPers; the lack of an ingame dice rolling command would be a big one but I think the outfit system is in a pretty good spot. If it's really a big inconvenience to have to unslot or reslot weapons either have one bar with weapons (you don't need more than one bar to kill overland mobs) or use the dressing room mod.
