Stop calling it “Performance Issues”. It’s called a “Working Product”.

Played a few Battleground matches today and we kept on having folks crash. In a four person team, losing one team member due to crashes ruins the game for everyone because it pretty much guarantees a loss for the team who lost a team mate and also ruins the competition for the rest of the match participants.

It’s hard to keep players engaged in the game when they can’t stay logged into the game because the gaming code and server set up is so unstable and unpredictable. ESO is so much fun when the product works, but it doesn’t work much too often, ruining many of the great moments. I don’t want to lose any more buddies who quit the game out of frustration because the game/product just doesn’t work.

Please also keep in mind that Battlegrounds is a 12 person environment. Isn’t this supposed to make isolating the issue(s) easier?

Please fix this ZOS. At least let us be able to stay logged in...

Trying to help my people bring a scroll home today in Cyrodiil and got kicked straight to the desktop. Sucks to have to apologize for letting your team down when it's not even your fault.

Good point. Performance issues sounds so trivial and harmless, like a minor inconvenience. What we are experiencing is more like a broken product indeed. ZOS, please fix your product! :3
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

We were discussing last night as our group gave up from performance about if a game came out that offered close to the same experience as Cyrodiil and if it would perform better or worse.

Someone suggested " How could it be worse?" and someone replied " if you just couldn't log in at all." I jokingly said "I'm not sure that would be worse."

Thinking about it; I think not being able to log in would be better. Then it forces a recognition of a non-working product that demands immediate action and nothing else worked in until it was working. In stead; we've had well over a year of "performance improvement" which arguably has made things worse and possibly was more about Stadia compliance than honestly fixing the product.

I had similar experience in BG, winning team, got DC-ed, when I managed to get back in game I was penalized for "leaving match"

    Thanks ZOS.

It seems like the plan is to limp along with minimal investments just barely enough to keep the lights on until the sale can be completed.

"It’s called a “Working Product”" Ha ha. Really can't call it a "working product," since there are issues. So, when things have issues, it is clearly not working.

Meh, a totaled game is one you can not enter at all.. we are quite far away from that

Actually @Mettaricana 's joke is close to accurate. Totaled does not mean "wont drive", totaled means the cost of repairing the vehicle is more than it's worth. Perhaps this is why we are not seeing huge strides being made in repairing the core of this game, it's not worth it to ZOS, they would rather invest into new expansions and crown store items that make money, instead of spending money on a product that is already paid for.

RIGHT!! I thought this was only me. See over the Christmas period I updated to win10 (from win7 RIP), and got back into playing ESO, id be MID pvp (BGs) and press a button, twice the screen just froze & the game excited to desktop (no error etc). 2 other times it was a "ESO has stopped working error", then 1 time (and the scariest) was a black screen of death, like my monitor literally got unplugged from the HDMI port. Literally was a dead screen and had to hard boot my PC...

NEVER had these issues on win7. I just thought it might have been a win10 issue, compatibility? I did some troubleshooting and did still have a few issues, but not as many as before.

I play literally every other game (cyperpunk, RDR, etc) and have 0 issues... So I think its definitely a ESO compatibility issue & bugs.
