None. With the caveat that I deliberately avoid activities that would typically cause crashes.

I want to change my answer, I went to vKA this evening... We couldn't finish the second run because of the disconects. Like each Boss fight there was at least 2 disconects. Really ZoS, why you spit at the face of end game PvE community so hard. Performance was alrrady bad but markarth is a disaster

I kept the poll simple, as we already know that players in different situations get different results. My personal interest, after crashing several times in one day, is to see whether in general the forum community is suffering more these days.

I'm a Cyrodiil regular, so I know it's really bad there.

I'm an addon developer, so I know that if there's a related issue - it's at best a big question mark, and at worst unsolvable (as addons get no official support.) And considering how much the default UI is lacking in both PvE and especially PvP, just disabling addons isn't cool. Us developers put a lot of time into this.

I hear from friends in other Cyrodiil campaigns about how issues are generally lesser, because their maps are less populated. I hear from PvE friends that they do have the same issues, but the severity may be lesser.

So far, it's obvious there's a major problem going on, and that it's meaningfully worse than last year!

Having some issues occasionally is one thing. But having a single day where I keep crashing right-before-I-get-the-quest-reward, after running with a party for an hour or more, is just low grade trolling by the developers; intended or not. This is exactly how fans finally quit, and how most good players I've known quit.

Haven't logged in since I last crashed a few days ago. It's not good for my PCSD (post crash stress disorder).
Crashes tend to happen when swapping characters, trials/dungeons, cyrodiil and the odd wayshrine. They are not frequent, but happen way more often than other MMO's I play (where they are basically non existent).

Edit: I'm using "crash" as a generalisation for crash to desktop, freezes, infinite load screens and crash to login.

About 2-3 years ago I did a fresh install of the game and played without addons for at least a year, it made no noticeable difference. When I installed a few basic ones (I only used basic ones to begin with, no merchant addons etc) I again observed no noticeable difference.

I build my own machines, have for several decades now. Mine work well on pretty near any type of game as I built the machine to do that. Now I used to run web servers and wrote quite a bit of backend code for that purpose, so figuring stuff out is one my fortes.

Many machines are not well configured out of the box, and really a retail box is built to a price point.

This game never crashes on my machine. Look to your machine, if you are having trouble, it is almost for sure the problem.

Including housing, overland, rp, fishing, crafting, & crown store only players throws this poll out.

I also don't have too many performance issues with that stuff.

You're making a false assumption without data to back it, and share no useful details about what to "look" for. To the contrary, I built my PC and have worked in tech for over 20 years now. Most serious players I've known have built their own, as well, and suffer from all the above issues.

The numbers clearly don't support any fault with the players, as this affects a big chunk of the player base. Please refrain from posting guesses on why we are to blame.

Yes there are issues. I don't have near the issues that many people on the forums say they have. A lot of it is issues on both ends.

Players suck a lot resources when they ball up and spam abilities constantly. A lot of players are trying to get 4k and ultra out of sub par or poorly optimized hardware. They often don't back off settings to improve performance and game stability when they are in heavy load environments.

This is the only game ive played in which the players refuse to even acknowledge they can improve their experience by backing off graphics settings. I am dumbfounded by the " stick my head in the sand and yell at ZOS" attitude. Even when I play Eve Online, which you can play on a potato, people acknowledge in big fights that they need to lower settings a notch or two if you aren't running a gaming rig. No one blames the developers there...you would be crazy too, they have some of the most high tech, if not the most high tech servers in the industry.

On the server side, there are little "hiccups". These are either server hardware or software issues. Some people call them Dsyncs. Little pauses of 200-500ms maybe but they dont show up at all on ping or FPS. It is like time freezes briefly. Normally i only get these in Cyro and i thought maybe it was due to being transferred between servers. But i have gotten the same farming a lead in Elden Hollow and while soloing a base game world boss. In the latter it came at a critical moment when i hit my heal and it didnt fire and the bosses next hit was enough to kill me. It typically doesn't affect my gameplay but it did on that boss.

I have never experienced it outside of Cyro either. It isn't like i was doing any new or crazy. Base game content isn't that flashy or taxing compared to the new stuff. It has never cause a crash on my PC but i imagine on systems that are more strained the "yoyo" of it might be enough to make the client unstable.

I do all kinds of stuff. As I'm leveling my new char, the first in many years, I am fighting mostly. I do solo Dungeons for fun and participate in both Harrowstorms and Dolmens all the time. No problems at all. Smooth and mostly lag free at 4k on my 32" monitor.
