Heals in BGs bugged

I was healing a solo queue BG today when I noticed most of my heals would not connect with a target.
- Resistant Flesh did not heal anybody but myself, sometimes not even that. Magicka got deducted each time though. This was also true if i was at 100% HP not taking any damage while the teammate in front of me was losing a lot of HP over a prolonged period.
- Renewing Undeath did not heal anybody but myself for the most time. Sometimes teammates got a heal.
- Intense Mender did not heal anybody but myself, even if i was at 100% HP not taking any damage while the teammate in front of me was losing a lot of HP.
- Radiating Regeneration worked for the most part.
- Life Giver only applied to me, even when i wasn't taking much damage and had much more HP left than the guy in front of me, for whom it was intended.

I could burn through my entire magicka without seeing my target receiving any heals from me or any noticeable HP increases besides from when the target used its own heals.

Since it was solo queue I don't know if it was a visual bug on my end or if they really did not receive any HP. But given that I had a total of 55k healing done at the end of the BG while basically spamming heals non-stop and I had a lot more damage done from a few light & heavy attacks and crimson procs, I think it is safe to assume the latter is the case.

Perhaps they were all wearing pale order ring?

Good point, though it does not explain why Renewing Undeath was sometimes healing others and why Radiating Regeneration was working (mostly).

Probably 2 of the 3 wearing it and the only one you were hitting was the one who wasn't? Did you happen to notice if you were only healing the same person?

Still should not take your magicka I wouldn't think. I've seen something similar in Cyrodiil and blamed the group only healing restriction. Doesn't make sense for BGs.

Why wouldn't it? BoL can be spammed at full health and takes the resources, SPC literally requires overhealing and also uses the resources. If you cast a skill, it consumes the resources (with a few exceptions, i.e. DK chains).

Sounds like a problem with class skills

It was not always hitting the same person. Sure they might all have switched gear frequently, but that is doubtful.

Have had that happen to me on 2m more occasions since then, but it never lasted for that long.

If it's anything like what I'm seeing; and it's trying to heal someone deemed unhealable rather than at least heal yourself when you need it; that's a problem. Just yet 1 more if many issues caused by "smart" healing. And that's what it seems to be for me as I have look away and toward the ground to make sure I get the heal.

When wearing pale order some heals, regen for example connects but doesn't do anything. Which is a bit silly as even in a group in cyro the regen can connect with my character and waste someone's heal. I was surprised it wasn't coded to disregard a player wearing pale order.

    Me too.

This is a glaring oversight they really need to correct. It sounds very annoying for healers to deal with.

@ZOS_GinaBruno was this intended to function this way?

Pale Order really is annoying as a healer in a random BG. You try to help your teammates, even putting yourself in harms way in the process, waste a lot of magicka on heals, only for them to not do anything and you never receive any feedback telling you that the target is basically immune to heals.

Maybe make Pale Order users glow pink. So we all know who not to waste our magicka and HP trying to heal them on.
