The most recent Midyear Mayhem, Imperial City Celebration, and Undaunted Celebration events, all of which involve activities outside my normal comfort zone.
During the 2020 Midyear Mayhem I finally did several of the daily city quests. I'd done a couple of them in Chorrol back when I first entered Cyrodiil 3 years ago, but stopped because I wasn't very interested in them. I still haven't done the dailies from the cities in the AD and EP areas, but I'm looking forward to doing those during the next Midyear Mayhem when rewards are best.
During the 2020 Imperial City Celebration I finally did the dailies in the six districts. Thank you, ZOS, for unlocking those for all players! But best of all, I managed to kill another player in a 1v1 fight. It wasn't a fight that I'd picked; the other player attacked me when I was trying to leave the district and turn in the quest. Normally I'd have tried to run away, or just let them kill me so I could resurrect back at the alliance base; but I decided to indulge the other player's desire to fight-- and won!
And during the 2020 Undaunted Celebration I enjoyed soloing a number of dungeons I hadn't attempted before, instead of just doing the same one day after day.
Something new:
The Antiquities are fun, although I haven't tried to grind for all of the special antiquities that everyone else does. On the other hand, I love the passive skill that makes treasure chests glow!
And I love being able to just deconstruct all of the gear I find and add it to my Collections, rather than having it fill up my bank account, storage chests, and alternate characters' inventories. My alts are no longer just mules!I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!0
