Best 3 piece set combo?

So long story short, I'm trying to tweak my stam DK pvp build to include malacath's brutal band, and a trial weapon for my 1H+S backhand. My main weapon is 2H and I was wondering what set (overland,crafted,trial,etc) gives the best boosts for 3-4 pieces, and never plan to use the 5th one?

✭✭✭It depends whether you want a monster set or not? If you literally mean a 3 piece set. You could wear agility on weapons and 1 piece jewelry for more offence. Endurance for more defence or potentates for ult gen and defence.
You can regardless still wear 1 piece trainee for more health if you go this route.
You could wear 1 piece of a monster set and still wear 2 X 5 piece sets. Then it depends what you want to do. If you are learning PvP, it's best to start in quite defensive sets and add damage as you improve imo.

I ran this on a stamdk fairly recently, you just need to swap the weapons on the back bar for your master's sword a board along with relevant skill. It doesn't have a lot defensively though... It may work as a template.

✭Stuhn's Favor is probably the best 3 and 4 piece to combine with Malacath, and Oblivion's Foe is the same 3 piece but a useless 4 piece. 3 piece Way of Air might open up other options for food, Mundus, etc.
Endurance is the strongest 3 piece on PvP StamDK by a long shot, but unfortunately you can't use it with Malacath if you don't have open weapon slots.

I was planning to use Monster with main focus being damage (hence Brutal Band) but I'm open to ideas in other fields.
I'm currently rather bad at PvP without a team to back me up, so defense is probably my best friend at the moment lol0
