There's only 2-3 hairstyles for Redguard women, the rest are for the other races. I have 2 Redguard ladies out of my 14 ladies and I have to say, the super-silky hairstyles that work for the other races don't work for the Redguards. There should be more options than the ponytail and headband options for the redguards. Maybe some exquisite braids, or something like that.

YES...I have one Red Guard lady and she started off with the long dread mohawk. Wasn't thrilled but it was the only one i kinda liked on her (her hair is also snow white). After over a year of the same hair style I wanted to change it up...and there were no REAL options. So I went with the silky side bun - now she kinda looks like Storm from X-men.

Some of the Khajiit styles could work - like puffier wavy styles. But that's just my opinion

I’m not opposed to this, but the Redguards take physical traits from both African and Arabic people. So it’s not exactly unfitting for them to have smooth hair.

I agree, we need more hairstyles for the Redguard's in general. Preferably some styles that are kinky course hair. There has been a lot of fine hair updates in the last six years, since Beta and we have seen nothing that can reflect the realism of the Redguard culture.

I respectfully disagree with you. The Redguard culture has no influence from Arabia, but strictly African, Kush and Moor inspired. Fahara'jad is a King. If he was a Sultan, or Emir, then maybe this would be true about Arabia. But they did not want to include any white blood influences in the Redguard Kingdom. Something to consider.

A lot of the hairstyles and very dated. There are only 2 maybe 3 that I would ever consider using out of the base ones. Most of the best ones are crowns tore exclusive.

Even with crown store offerings though, I wish there where a lot more

Well there's one unrealised one. The Warrior Topknots is in the list of "hairstyles still unavailable to players".

There's honestly a lack of hairstyles for everyone. Finding some nice short hair is almost impossible.

I quite like the Dominion War Locks on one of my Redguard mains (I have 4, one on each account and each megaserver); the other three have the Heroic Pony Dreads, the Beaded Crested Dreads, and Coil with Ring Braids.

I've always thought of them as more Arabic than African. Head canon is different for everyone.

I think all of the playable races who are not Nords, Altmer, or Dunmer need a lot more of everything

But yes specifically redguards need more hairstyles that are befitting to them. It's sad to see the disparity.

I definitely agree that the hairstyles are lacking for everyone. There are so few in existence, and there's a whole thread about the ones that are seen on NPCs but have never released.

In terms of 'non-straight' hair, aside from the aforementioned Warrior Topknots there's also Short Mussed Wave and Wavy Triple Braided Updo. SMW is the one I'm dying for them to release, but it's more wavy than textured. It does seem like it darkens hair similar to the 'By Kyne it's Humid' style. Wavy Updo is more of a textured style, but it's a bit on the elaborate side. I think that one was available at one point, but I have yet to see a single player with it.

I know hairstyles are always the biggest mods for the single player TES games, so it'd be great if the designers could start looking into making (and actually releasing) more.

Yes. Like that. I'm a huge fan of The Immortal Descendants books - in which one of the vampires is a Moor. And I reiterate - only those books really "get" logical vampires. If you can't think of "logical" together with "vampires".... well.... read the books....

Have you looked at the hairstyles in ESO? It looks like typical ESO quality. Short Mussed Wave has pretty bad texture, but I still really want it.

OK, what am I missing here? Why is the OP saying there are only 2-3 hairstyles for Redguards when at creation there is a much larger selection? Is there something I am unaware of ... like if my character doesn't have a particular style she somehow is no longer a Redguard?
