a classless system would absolutely be the Very Best thing to ever happen to eso.
we would choose from 3 major, miner and healing and defensive skills list and be limited as to not allow it to become over powered. it would be perfect and create class balance that we so Desperately need. some complain that OP builds would be created, and boring one trick pony builds would happen, but that is completely False because THAT is what we already Have OP builds, and boring one trick pony builds.
classless system would fix the problems we now have and make endless builds possible, it really would be the very Best thing for pvp, pve, and the entire Game.

Or, we can look at what happens in game when we have endless choices in gear: technically you can wear whatever combination of sets you like, but practically everyone doing endgame and competitive content wears the few sets that are ideal for that content.

It would technically "make endless builds possible."

Practically, you'd only ever see most of those "endless builds" in role-playing and overland questing, just like is true for the "endless set combinations" that we have now.

In contrast, the players who play endgame and competitive content would lose the diversity of classes and instead be pigeonholed into a few most effective skill choices for their role, just like they do for set choices now. I mean, look at PVE. Whatever their class, most Stam DDs are wearing the same sets. Most Mag DDs are wearing the same sets. There's a very small selection of sets that are actually used.

Why do people assume that opening up all the class skills are going to automatically result in diversity for anything above overland questing? We've got tons and tons of gear options and it really doesn't result in build diversity now once you get past the "anything goes" of overland and easy dungeons.

That already happens though? How many wardens and necros do you see now? So nothing would change meta builds regardless. At least the rest of us could get creative and make fun builds.

    Werewolf behemoth=vampire lord>blood scion>werewolf>vampire.
