    I see it as:
    Always day (full light)
    Always night (max dark)
    Early morning (half light)
    Early evening (half light)
Use system time (as it works now)

I know some people have mentioned the same for weather, you could create a mood.

I would also quite like to see the option to disable the sandstorms in houses like Thieves' Oasis as this is incredibly difficult to see the outdoor details when as you can see is sand. Particularly annoying for custom builds.

I think some homes should have this functionality but not most of them. Although if it's optional and per home, I don't think it would be a bad thing.

It would be helpful for decorating to be able to quickly check out how an area looks in different conditions.

For example I want to place a statue of Azurah in the Alpine Gallery house, but I want to put it on the first suitable spot that gets sunlight in the morning and I've never been there at the right time or had enough free time in real life to hang around and wait for the in-game sunrise. It would be so much easier if I could set the time to just before sunrise and then watch, especially since then I could run it a few times in a row to check out different areas.

It could go back to normal and jump to whatever time the rest of the world is when I'm done, but it would be nice to be able to change it tempoarily.

Well, I don't mean the normal server-based time cycles, I mean a different time cycle that you can control on your own, and for the weather, I believe there is nothing wrong with it lets say there is magic involved which grants you the ability to change the weather in your house! and btw you can already buy snow piles with crowns and place them in any house (Alinor included)!

Yes please. It is raining 99% time in my house. It would be nice to disable that for a week or two since all I see is rain and day light.

I've seen people pull it off with the EHT add-on but as you can guess it's a texture that goes over the skybox with fake rain effects added. Sure it makes it seem like it's raining or night time but the sun will be shining on you and everything will still be lit up!

I'm with OP on this. We need a feature to control the atmospherics and weather of our personal instanced homes. Would also make roleplaying a lot more fun when you can set up scenes!

In an older stream from ZoS when they showed some new coming houses, they changed the time inside the house to show it better :|

Yes, some of my houses I love that it is raining all the time

Some of them look better during the day

My vampire would be more comfortable in his palatial hall if it were always night! I support this lol.

    OH WOW!!!
Hi Ravenwatch... did you see my post then??? Thankyou for making a poll out of it. Fascinating to see the responses of others.

It was because the only way I can show off my "Garden of a Thousand Lanterns" is by NIGHT..... of COURSE. :p
But if I could make it an orange late evening or an Aurora Borealis Midnight with moons..... it looks AWE INSPIRING.

In my animation world I simply wind the sun down, change its' colour, throw in some god-rays, some long distance haze, some local mist zones and VOILA... a beautiful evening.

If homes could have this when other players came to see they, too, would enjoy the optimum environmental effects of lighting and visual impact.
    Thankyou again.

Yes, but if you design a "Midnight Garden" and every time you turn up or visitors come in they see a dazzlingly glaring midsummers midday.... it loses all its effect.

Now, if you could decide YOURSELF what time of day your house displayed itself as you would optimize the impact and better utilise your finances and effort of design for better impact.

Alpine gallery is way too dark as it is. I really don’t want to be spending the extra slots in lighting the place up. Plus it looks awesome during the day/evening snow.

Not really, I use EHT, but the night version which comes with it is just like an over-saturated layer ... and as others mentioned not everyone uses EHT...
