Swarm of haorvor skill

When running a Alik'r delve I stumbled upon a player who used a skill unknown to me, launching a swarm of haorvors with astounding aoe result. The launching was instantaneous, and the bugs remained active a short while after the killing.
I presume he/she was a stam char (a warden?), for used a bow sometime, but I've been unable to communicate and ask anything about that skill.
Anyone savvy can enlighten me? Thanks

You don’t need to activate the synergy for the bugs (hoarvors) to appear, @Waffennacht ... they’ll crawl around just on skill activation.

For what its worth, I double checked the skill info too and was like "wait...it says spiders? But I'm pretty sure those are horavors..."

The hoarvors are a new animation.... Which is just odd...
